Liam Linden's eyes turned sharp and cold. "If you keep asking, I won't hesitate to kill you to shut you up."
Faye Vaughn didn't believe his harsh words. If he were going to kill her, he would have done it already.
Faye Vaughn turned and started back toward the house.
A muscle in Liam Linden's brow twitched. He quickly got out of the car, caught up to Faye Vaughn, and grabbed her by the wrist. "What do you think you're doing?"
Faye Vaughn struggled a few times but couldn't break free. She turned her head to look at him. "I want to go take a look."
Liam Linden's grip on her wrist was tight. "Get in the car with me."
Faye Vaughn gasped in pain. "That hurts."
Liam Linden's grip faltered, loosening slightly, but he didn't let go. He repeated, "Get in the car."
Unable to overpower him, Faye Vaughn was half-forced, half-pushed into the passenger seat.
But she was now certain there was something extremely dangerous in that house.
