If Qi Chengliang had only invited her to lunch, Qi Yunzhi would have agreed without a second thought. But her three best friends were with her, so no matter what, she had to ask for their opinions before replying to Qi Chengliang.
Qi Chengliang had no objection to this. He gestured toward Qi Yunzhi and nodded, giving her plenty of time to ask her friends. He wasn't in a hurry.
"Xiao Nian, Lingxiu, Chunhua, what do you guys think? My brother… he's actually a pretty good guy."
Qi Yunzhi said, looking at her three friends. After all, Qi Chengliang was her brother—one she was close to—and she hoped her best friends wouldn't misunderstand him too much.
'Though his previous behavior certainly could have given them the wrong impression.'
"I don't mind. Since he's your brother, it's the least we can do."
