A low battery alert sounded from Jane Sterling's pocket. She pulled out her phone, and just after she glanced at the time, the screen went dark.
Jane Sterling frowned and looked over at Drew Thorne.
"Did you bring your phone?"
Drew Thorne shook his head. "I didn't have time to grab it."
Jane Sterling let out a breath of relief. "Then we'll just have to find our way back to the car."
As they walked, the scenery before them gradually receded, revealing a path that looked somewhat familiar.
Staring at the path, Jane Sterling found it looked familiar.
"Isn't this the way we came?"
In that instant, a wave of joy washed over Jane Sterling as she looked at Drew Thorne beside her.
"We're out!"
Drew Thorne's eyes shimmered with a gentle light, and he smiled softly.
"Yes, we're out."
