[IRIS POV]
"Are you insane?"
The response didn't come from Healer Felix, but from Martin's family members. They stared at me with undisguised hatred and disdain. Their voices emerged in unison, each one disparaging me for my response.
"You're not a doctor!"
"You can't possibly treat him!"
"This is your plan to kill him, isn't it? You murderer!"
Healer Felix looked like he was suffering from a terrible migraine at their words. Mentally, I heard his weary voice ask.
'Iris, you could have used your inside voice. You should leave now before things get uglier.'
'Sorry, I forgot,' I apologized. 'But I wasn't joking; I have an idea that can save Martin without us leaving this infirmary. All I need is for you to help me donate my blood to Martin to help his body purge out the toxins.'
"You what?!" Healer Felix was so shocked that his pupils trembled as he gazed at me. I don't think he even realized he wasn't communicating mentally with me either.
