Jayden and Yuna teleported a few times until they stopped near an old construction site. Jayden sat down on the ground, tired and hurt, while Yuna started treating him.
She looked at him and said, "What would've happened if I didn't save you?"
Jayden : "I'd be dead for sure. Thank God you showed up when you did. Thanks."
"Don't mention it,"
As they talked, two figures showed up—Melvin and Luna. They had gotten there before them.
When Yuna finished healing him, Jayden stood and walked to them. "You guys okay?"
Luna nodded. "Yeah, don't worry about us."
Melvin sighed. "Honestly, I almost died if it wasn't for Luna. But we shouldn't relax yet—two enemies are still after us."
"You worry too much. I could take them down on my own."
Yuna shook her head. "Don't go alone. I let one commander escape before and I need to make up for that. I'll go with you."
Luna frowned. "I don't get why you think like that. I never cared about making up for the ones who slipped away."
"You're so annoying," Yuna snapped. "Just let me come."
"Fine, whatever. Let's go together."
The two girls left, while Jayden and Melvin stayed behind. Jayden sighed. "They always fight over dumb stuff."
Melvin chuckled. "Yeah, some twins are like that. But deep down, they care about each other."
Meanwhile, Karaido and Joey were searching for Jayden and Yuna but found nothing. Suddenly, the twins appeared right in front of them without warning, making both men flinch. Joey fired off a bunch of rockets but Luna blocked them with the bone separator and kept walking forward. Yuna sat on the ground, watching like it was some kind of game.
Karaido and Joey both felt the twins' power. The girls had always been strong but now they were way stronger—stronger than even the elite commanders.
For the first time in his life , Karaido wanted to run. If he stayed, he was dead. Joey thought the same.
Joey threw fire blasts while Karaido launched ice shots. Luna yawned, blocked them again but then noticed they had already run away. Their attacks were just distractions.
She teleported and appeared right next to Karaido. "Hey commander, mind giving me your autograph? I'm a big fan," she teased.
Karaido spun around, furious . " You little brat!" He attacked but Luna knocked his weapon away and punched him with a fiery fist, burning him and dropping him to the ground unconscious.
As she stood over him, she saw Joey falling from the sky. She knew right away Yuna had taken care of him.
Joey groaned. "You… you shouldn't be this strong. You were weaker before."
Luna smirked. "You're right. Let's just say we're cheating."
"What?"
"You wouldn't get it. Now shut up."
She hit him with sonicwaves that knocked him out cold.
Yuna walked over. "Good thing Aiden helped us unlock these new powers."
"Yeah," Luna nodded, "though we're still not fully used to them."
A little while earlier—before the twins, Jayden and Melvin went to visit Xiao and Jayden's mother—Luna and Yuna were walking through a long hallway in the Moon Division's building.
Luna asked, "Why do you think Aiden called us?"
Yuna shrugged. "Not sure. But when he called, he said both of us had to come to his office at ten."
Luna glanced at the clock. "It's nine-fifty. We better hurry."
They reached his office, Yuna knocked and a voice said, "Come in."
Inside, Aiden was sitting at his desk. He pointed at two chairs. "Sit down."
They sat and he asked, "Have you been training well lately?"
Yuna nodded. "Yes, sir. Commanders Milo, Melvin and Tia trained us."
Luna added, "Yeah and we've been in fights too. That made us stronger."
"Good," Aiden said. "I have something for you."
He pulled out special empty blood bags with long tubes.
"These were made just for you two."
Luna frowned. "What do you mean? How do we use these?"
Yuna thought for a second. "I think I get it. I need Luna's blood to use her powers and she needs mine. These bags let us store blood and use it later."
Luna blinked. "So the blood doesn't go to waste anymore?"
"Exactly," Yuna said.
They both looked at Aiden. He nodded. "That's right. But there's more. One of you can put her blood in the bag and through the tube, it can slowly flow into the other's body during battle."
Yuna's eyes widened. "So that means we could use all four elements for longer."
"Exactly. And don't worry, the bags were designed for battle. Tia will also give you special outfits with pockets to carry them."
"Got it," Luna said. "We'll see Tia later."
"Thank you, sir," Yuna added.
"You're welcome, Ribwan twins," Aiden replied. He handed them the blood bags.
"You two are as strong as me or Murphy or Yossan—if you're together or if you share each other's blood. This invention will help a lot. Use it carefully."
The twins smiled and said together "Yes, sir. We'll do our best."
This was the secret behind the twins' advantage over the elite commanders. Luna had learned how to fuse her bone separator into her weapons and Yuna could now mix her ice Dismantling power into her weapons too. Together, the Ribwan twins had become far more dangerous.
One day later, Murphy was sitting on his throne in his palace, his face full of anger. One of his followers came in and said
"Sir, the commanders Shiro, Warren , Shiori and Senko have been taken to the seventh base, the one with our most advanced hospital. They're all badly injured and their condition is critical."
Murphy growled, "Do I only ever get bad news?"
"I'm sorry, sir."
"Just leave me. I'll visit them later."
"As you wish."
The follower left. Murphy stood up, sighing heavily. He was furious—the recent news made things worse. Six of his elite commanders had been defeated by the Moon Division, his enemies. Two had even been captured. It was a massive loss.
Murphy was already a short-tempered man and this kind of setback only fueled his rage. He stormed out of the palace and into the garden, shouting,
"Damn it all!"
He hurled fire blasts, burning the garden and smashing the walls around it.
Suddenly, someone put out the flames. Murphy turned and saw Betty with one of her followers, who had used her ice power to extinguish the fire under Betty's orders.
Murphy glared but Betty told her follower to leave. Then she looked at her uncle and said,
"What are you doing, uncle? Do you think burning your own garden will help us?"
Murphy gritted his teeth. "No… but I don't know what else to do. Six of my commanders were beaten. How can I not be angry about that?"
"You're right to be upset," Betty replied, "but we need to find a solution, not destroy our own place."
Murphy sighed. "You're right. Thanks for calming me down."
"No need to thank me. You're like a father to me," she said softly.
Together, they went back inside the palace. Murphy decided to hold back his anger, focus on saving his commanders first and then think of a new plan to defeat his enemies.
Elsewhere, Yossan was also sitting on his throne in his own palace, reading updates about what had happened to Murphy's people. He frowned and David, who stood near him, commented
"This is strange. How did Luna and Yuna's powers grow so fast?"
Yossan shook his head. "I'm not sure but it must have something to do with them joining the Moon Division. From now on, we have to be careful with them and never underestimate them."
"You're right,"
Just then, one of Yossan's men came running. "Sir! One of our commanders has been kidnapped!"
David's eyes widened. "What did you say? Who was taken?"
"It was Kuro, sir."
Both Yossan and David were shocked. Kuro wasn't someone who could be kidnapped easily.
David asked, "Do we know who did it?"
The man nodded. "Yes, it was two people named Merrick and Tristan, along with a girl called Tia."
"So the three of them caught him off guard and managed to take him."
Yossan frowned deeply. "This is a clear declaration of war but first, we need to get Kuro back. He's too important to lose."
Another man in the room suddenly spoke up. "Wait, Leader Yossan. We found a message at the last checkpoint where Kuro was seen."
"A message? Give it to me."
---
The letter read :
This message is for you, Yossan . I am the leader of the Moon Division of the Fauvism . I invite you to come to the address written below so we can discuss important matters. You are not the only one invited—Murphy will also be there.
---
Yossan finished reading and smirked. "We really underestimated this man."
