The night the Devourer came, the Red Moon territory did not sleep.
Sirens from the security towers echoed through the pack grounds as warriors rushed to their positions. Black SUVs sped across the paved roads of the territory, headlights cutting through the darkness. Pack guards secured the gates while Liam coordinated fighters through the communication system.
Inside the mansion, Ryan stood in the command room with Liam and Nick.
"The rogues have crossed the northern border," Liam reported, looking at the live map on the screen.
"How many?" Ryan asked.
"Too many to count."
Ryan's jaw tightened.
This was no simple rogue attack.
The Devourer had brought an army.
Outside, chaos erupted.
Rogues poured through the forest edges, snarling and attacking the outer defenses. Ryan's warriors met them head-on. Claws clashed, bodies collided, and the night filled with the sounds of battle.
Sera led one group of fighters toward the western entrance.
"Hold the line!" she shouted.
Nick shifted beside Liam as they charged into the fight, their wolves tearing through the first wave of rogues.
The Red Moon warriors were trained for war.
And tonight, they showed it.
Inside the mansion, Hazel stood with Bella and Klara in the lower hall where pack families had gathered.
Children clung to their parents. Elderly members sat nervously on the couches.
Hazel could feel the tension spreading through the room.
She inhaled slowly.
The Luna spirit inside her responded.
A warm glow spread through her body as she stepped forward.
"It's okay," she told them softly. "You're safe here."
The faint energy of her power filled the hall like a protective blanket.
Bella watched her closely.
"You're doing it again," Bella whispered.
Hazel looked confused. "Doing what?"
"Protecting everyone."
Klara smiled proudly. "You're a natural Luna."
Meanwhile, near the pack's northern border, the forest trembled.
A massive shadow emerged from the darkness.
The Devourer.
His presence alone made the surrounding rogues step back in fear.
Red Moon warriors hesitated for a moment as the creature stepped forward, towering and monstrous.
Then a new presence appeared.
Ryan.
He walked toward the Devourer slowly, calm and terrifyingly focused.
Behind him, Liam and Nick stood ready with several elite warriors.
The Devourer's voice rumbled like distant thunder.
"You cannot protect the Eclipse Heir forever."
Ryan's eyes darkened.
"You came to the wrong territory."
The Devourer laughed.
Then the ground shook as he lunged forward.
The battle exploded instantly.
The Devourer struck with monstrous strength, sending several rogues flying aside as he aimed directly for Ryan.
Ryan shifted in a flash.
His massive wolf form crashed into the creature with brutal force.
The forest echoed with snarls and roars.
The Devourer was powerful—but Ryan was something else entirely.
They clashed again and again, shaking the ground beneath them.
Liam and Nick fought off the remaining rogues to prevent them from interfering.
"This is his fight," Liam growled.
Inside the mansion, Hazel suddenly froze.
Her chest tightened.
Bella noticed immediately.
"What's wrong?"
Hazel pressed her hand against her heart.
"Ryan…"
She could feel it.
The bond between them pulsed with violent energy.
Something was happening.
Back in the forest, the fight reached its peak.
Ryan slammed the Devourer against a massive tree, cracking the trunk.
The creature roared and tried to strike again—but Ryan moved faster.
In one decisive motion, Ryan grabbed the Devourer, using his tribrid powers and ripped out his heart out and kept it for the rogues to feed on later and brought the battle to an end.
The monster's roar faded into the night after being killed by the tribrid
Silence slowly spread through the forest.
The remaining rogues froze in terror.
Ryan stood before them, breathing heavily but completely victorious.
His presence alone made them back away.
Liam stepped forward beside him.
"It's over," he said.
The rogues scattered into the forest, fleeing in fear but the warriors pursed them and caught up with the rogues, capturing them and taking them to the torture room
The Devourer's reign had ended.
Back at the mansion, Hazel suddenly felt the tension in her chest disappear.
Relief washed over her.
Bella smiled.
"He won."
Hazel exhaled softly.
"Of course he did."
Near dawn, Ryan returned to the Red Moon territory.
His warriors welcomed him back with silent respect.
The battle was over.
For now.
But as the sun slowly rose over the modern pack grounds, no one realized that far away…
A certain witch named Gloria watched the horizon thoughtfully.
And somewhere beyond the mountains…
Another Alpha had just learned the name:
Hazel McCall.
