I rather easily took out these 'Pals' as they are called, specfically a Cattiva, Lamball and a Chikipi which were cartoonish versions of cats, sheep and chicken.
"Is this thing seriously asking me to fuck animals?" I couldn't help but say as I reached down and grabbed the loot I had got.
When these pals are beaten they drop loot though they just lay there out cold and won't get up for awhile, though if they are just left like this I wouldn't be too surprised if some of these other Pals ate them.

"Finally." It took a bit but I leveled up and now had access to creating some rather basic structures to make the basic frame work for a base.
Not only that I could now make a Palbox that can be used as a fast travel point anywhere here on the islands along with me being able to make a work bench to make the most basic of tools in order to build up my base.
And the best place I could find was nearby a small lake area on the island I found myself currently residing on that I would call mine.
So using the PalPad I was able to easily put together a primitive crafting bench which I used to create a stone hatchet, pickaxe and turned my driftwood into a real wooden club.
After that I made a campfire, a few wooden chests, a repair bench to fix up my tools for later, and finally I began to create some Palspheres.
These basic Palspheres I could make by hand were blue in color and looked like blue crystals which are wrapped around by some golden inlays to it all.
"Don't know where the gold lining came from, but now I got myself some Palspheres." I said as I looked over all the system features.
I had my own personal inventory for ease of carrying all my supplies, but I had a clear weight limit so I couldn't carry an unlimited amount of stuff without being weighed down by everything.
Then I had the local and world map, the Paldeck that lists each Pal, there type and when captured for the first time even locations where they can be found out in the world.
Then there was the various different systems merged into one that give me my main quests and side quests that can make me more powerful and help me gain levels such as the technology tree.
And lastly there was the…. Breeding system, but after looking it over there turns out to be a toggle for Captured Pals that gives three options to select.
Feral: The Pals will keep their original looks
Anthro/Feral: The Pals can keep their normal forms or will assume a more anthropomorphic form.
Humanization: Full on human pals with only a few things that are left to make it clear they are a Pal (Locked)
So currently I only had the first two so I easily flipped it to the Anthro/Feral option as that is easier for me to swallow that me needing to fuck a full blown animal so I found this more bearable option to do.
So in the wild they look like how they should but when caught they will change to something more palatable to my tastes and if I ever want to…. Do it that way, then they can revert to their more feral form as a result.
(A/N Unlike the Pokemon Fic since this one will be more heavy on the smut side, once they are captured all females will see the MC as their mate and will want to have sex with him, won't be they instantly go into heat but if he wants to have sex they won't be against it)
"Now, time to catch some pals." I say after finishing the creation of the PalBox which now marks my base as a fast travel location for me to come back to whenever I want with the help of the PalPad.
So with it all set and several Palspheres I began to go on a hunt for Pals to call my own, luckily the PalPad gave me a hud overlay on my eyes so I can tell what level a pal was, name, type, and even the gender.
Seeing this and taking that with my objectives any male pal I would defeat on the spot and only go out of the way to capture female pals as the base has a limit to how many pals can be at it at the same time with one exception.
Any pals that are considered mates to the base owner can exist within the base without taking up any of the bases slots which for now there is a max of 5 for now.
(A/N Also even if a Pal is knocked out the MC can catch them still unlike in the game where you can't)
So I took my wooden club and headed out, as the many pals just milled about in the area, however when they noticed me they would begin to flee after they saw me beat up a few of there kind earlier just to level up.
"Need to be stealthy about this I guess…" I mutter to myself before I crouch low and start slowly making my way around the area trying to keep myself out of sight of the other Pals.
And it worked, keeping low and not making much noise helped, especially when the Pals were distracted with eating.
I pulled out a Palsphere and took aim at some pals, the capture chance seemed to be higher when caught from behind, luckily I collected plenty of the necessary materials to make many Palspheres which with the workbench makes the process nice and fast.
So I took aim and threw out my Palspheres, hitting on the back of several different pals before they began to shake with most of them becoming successful captures with a few breaking out before freaking out and running away.
"Merow!"
"Bawk!"
"Baaa!"
Though some got mad and tried to attacked me for trying to catch me, however these pals were rather weak compared to me so I was able to bat them away with my club and take them down one by one before capturing them in Palspheres.

After successfully capturing many of the Pals here I achieved level 5 which allowed me to unlock more technologies I could make and really get started and building up my base as a result.
"Good haul, now it's time to build up my own camp for myself." I said to myself before heading on back home with the haul of Pals along with plenty of wool, chicken legs and eggs along with berries and berry seeds to plant later on.
This archipelago is dangerous but it's clear that it's also fun.
