Command Spells.
After the First Grail War failed because Masters and Servants each acted on their own agendas, Zouken—one of the Servant system's creators—added a control mechanism for the Second War: Command Spells.
Every chosen Master received three marks. Each mark could enforce one absolute command over a Servant, or—if the relationship wasn't poisoned—be used to reinforce the Servant.
And though the Command Spells look like marks carved into flesh, they're tightly tied to Magic Circuits.
Their shape differs from person to person because it's influenced by the owner's Circuit nature. The reason Rin Tohsaka's Command Spells resemble Tokiomi's in later years is because bloodline inheritance refines and passes down Circuits.
That was why Baiye—despite not being a native of this world—never doubted he could obtain the "Magic Circuits" aptitude unique to this setting.
If the Grail had already skipped the process and branded him with the result, then how could it fail on something as basic as Circuits?
And from Morgan's words, his confidence was not only correct, it was conservative.
"If you want," Morgan said, "there's no need for bodily modification. With a simple reversal, I can convert these three Command Spells into three Magic Circuits for you."
"But if we do that, once the Command Spells are gone, the contract between us becomes… mostly formal."
"No problem," Baiye said instantly. "Do it."
"W-Wait!" Sakura raised her hand. "If three Command Spells can become three Circuits for Onii-chan, then if we add mine too, wouldn't that make six?"
"In theory, yes—if the transfer is stable," Morgan nodded.
"In theory." Baiye hesitated, then shook his head. "But… I don't think so."
He explained under Sakura's puzzled look—and Kama's unreadable scrutiny:
"A few years ago, after my martial arts broke through to my current realm, my intuition became frighteningly accurate—especially on matters involving myself."
"Even though our Command Spells both come from the Grail, my intuition tells me: Circuits converted from the three marks that appeared on my hand will be different for me than Circuits converted from 'foreign' marks."
"Otherwise, I wouldn't need yours at all. As far as I know, somewhere in Fuyuki there are over a dozen Command Spells stripped from eliminated Masters in the previous two wars."
Sakura turned to Morgan.
"That possibility does exist in Mystery," Morgan said after thinking. "Even if Command Spells are ultimately just condensed high-purity magical energy, the Grail's energy is shaped by the owner's Circuits once it settles on them. If I'm correct, even if ownership changes, the mark's form doesn't."
"Then we'll do it your way," Baiye decided. "Convert my three Command Spells into my three Circuits. Do I need to prepare anything?"
"No. Just give me a location."

Morgan worked fast.
Baiye summoned her that morning and stated his request. By afternoon—after only half a day—she said it was ready.
"Lie down on that stone platform," Morgan said in the basement, pointing to a slab at the center of a ritual array engraved all around. "Don't resist my mana entering your body. I'll handle the rest."
Seeing Baiye walk toward it without hesitation, Morgan opened her mouth—stopped—opened it again—then finally asked:
"Master… you truly aren't worried at all?"
"Worried about what?" Baiye asked.
Morgan: "..."
About whether I'll do something to you while I have access to your body, obviously.
Considering how her "reputation" had spread after Camlann, and the fact that she and Baiye had exchanged fewer than a hundred sentences total… trust like this should have been impossible.
"My intuition tells me you don't mean me harm," Baiye said, sitting up on the slab and meeting her eyes. "And even if you suddenly decide to try something, I'm confident I can counter you."
"Also—why are you suddenly acting so delicate? That doesn't sound like the witch of legend."
"…Apologies for disappointing you by not being witch enough," Morgan replied dryly, then lifted a hand. "Begin. Don't keep that child waiting outside, or her Servant—"
She cut herself off, swallowing the urge to mutter some very British profanity.
After Baiye lay back down, Morgan activated the array and used his three Command Spells as a foundation to reverse-grow Circuit structures through his body—like nerves, but not the same.
As each red mark dimmed, the circuits inside him grew clearer.
Until the final threshold snapped—

It worked.
At the same time the system notification hit, Baiye felt Morgan's mana travel a full circuit through his body under her control—then withdraw.
He opened his eyes and met Morgan's icy blue gaze.
"I regret it," Morgan said. "I should have taken the chance to do something to you."
The conversion had been guided by her from 0% to 99.99%. But the last 0.01%—the way those merely average circuits transformed into something not necessarily stronger, but perfectly attuned to Baiye—was entirely his body's spontaneous adaptation.
No wonder he'd refused Sakura's proposal to add her marks.
"Then I'll thank you for your restraint," Baiye said with a grin, lifting the hand where the Command Spells had been. Now it was clean.
Perhaps because his "origin" differed from normal magi, his three circuits were already fully structured the moment they formed—ready to be opened immediately.
He felt a new force gather in his hand, life force converting into something else in instinctive flows.
He exhaled. "So this is mana?"
And on his system panel, a new prompt blinked:
