The next morning, Celeste opened her eyes and immediately covered her face with both of her hands. Her cheeks burned as her memory of what she had spoken the day before came back to her mind.
She can barely remember what Lucien had said, but somehow, his words yesterday moved her, and she had agreed to be with him.
Then she covered her face with a pillow, then rolled back and forth on the bed. She has no idea on how she's going to face Lucien.
Knock!
A sudden knock on the door drew Celeste's attention, and removed all those imaginations she just had. She lifted her head, the flush on her face not yet disappearing.
"Come on in," she said, trying her best to sound calm, though her voice was still a bit trembling.
The door opened, and Lucien walked in. He had a gentle smile on his lips, but she noticed the faint dark circles under his eyes, as though he had not slept in a long time.
