The realization made my heart race with alarm. I needed to see my sister for myself and warn her of Violet's duplicity before Violet tried anything. Even if she wasn't conscious for me to warn, I needed to protect her.
I knew that Violet would definitely try to hurt her again. She was ready to all but kill me when she found out I was the triplets' fated mate. She wouldn't do any less for Willow.
Willow's return, regardless of whether she accepted the triplets or not, directly threatened her interests.
More importantly, if Violet was indeed responsible for Willow going missing to begin with, she would spare no expense in tying up this loose end. There would be no better chance now, when Willow was weakened to exhaustion. She might even pin her death on me again.
"I need to go," I declared, forcing myself to sit up as my muscles protested at the sudden exertion.
