There it was. This was the Violet I knew and was familiar with. I was still in my familiar universe.
She had every bit of the spike and venom she often wore on her sleeve in front of me, warily blocking my path as though I was the harbinger of death. This time, she wasn't even pretending to be soft and sweet in front of the Alphas, simpering after them while batting her eyelashes to get them to do her bidding. I guessed I must have somehow pissed her off so bad that she wasn't bothering to act any longer, deciding to take matters into her own hands.
If I didn't have anything better to do with my time, I would wonder at her audacity and her schemes. But since I did have places to be, I scowled and snapped at her.
"I'm visiting my sister. Now get out of my way!"
A muscle twitched in Violet's jaw, and she looked like she wanted to spit in my face.
"How dare you speak to me like that! I'm your Luna!" Violet screamed.
