Synopsis
THE ECHOES OF WESTMINSTER "Seven years can build a skyscraper, but it is never enough to tear down the walls of regret." Elena believed her past was buried deep in the chaotic streets of Jakarta. Now a rising architect in the heart of London, her world is built on cold structures, precise lines, and a heart kept under lock and key. For her, London was a sanctuary for a fresh start—until she won the most prestigious commission of her career. The client? Arthur Montgomery. The man who left her at an airport terminal with a pride that shattered her soul. The man who now holds the future of her career in his hands, and whose presence haunts every corner of the Westminster streets she has come to love. Amidst the rhythmic chimes of Big Ben and the grandeur of London’s historic stone, Elena is forced to face the ghost she has spent years outrunning. But Arthur is no longer the boy she once knew. He is a man of towering ego, hiding wounds behind eyes as cold as a winter morning on the Thames. As they collide in a high-stakes professional world, Elena must decide: is this collaboration a bridge to heal their broken past? Or are they merely two echoes, destined to call out to one another without ever truly meeting again? "Some feelings, much like the classic architecture of Westminster, are timeless. They are echoes of the past that refuse to be stilled."

Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE: SHATTERED AT TERMINAL 3

Jakarta, Seven Years Ago.

The roar of Soekarno-Hatta Airport was a deafening hum in Elena's ears. Standing before her was Arthur—the man who, for the past year, had been her entire world. But today, the Arthur standing there felt like a total stranger. His shoulders were rigid, his chin held high with a cold defiance, and his gaze was utterly hollow.

"I must return to London, Elena. To where I truly belong," Arthur spoke flatly. His tone was detached, as if they were merely business associates bidding a formal farewell.

"But why must you end everything, Arthur? Why like this?" Elena's voice trembled, her heart splintering with every breath.

"Because I haven't the time for such adolescent drama," Arthur retorted coldly, his towering ego lacing every word. "The Montgomery legacy wasn't built on love letters and long-distance fancies. Save your time for something else, El."

Arthur turned away without a single backward glance. He walked towards the departure gate, carrying half of Elena's soul with him. She stood frozen, clutching a small Big Ben keychain in her hand—a gift she never had the chance to give.

At that moment, Elena did not know that seven years later, in the very city where that clock tower stood, time would force them to hear one another once more.
