"I really find it hard to believe that Magic is real. But then again, I've seen a lot of inexplicable things happening since I stepped foot here. You really think I can just create a Spell just like that?", Pepper asked, and frowned.
"Why not? You've read plenty of stories, right? Imagination is key when it comes to performing Magic. Why don't I give you a little bit of inspiration first? I have access to Wind Magic right now. It shouldn't be hard to create a Spell."
At the same time, I saw another Gamer Notification, which targeted me. I became interested, and had a look. I wanted to see my Status, and this particular Gamer Notification arrived, as if responding to what I wanted to do.
[Ding! A new function of the Gamer System, Stat Preview, is now online.]
[Ding! Stat Preview will detail your summarized information with its final results, and it will take out any details deemed unnecessary.]
A summarized version of my Status Window that will take out anything that isn't necessary? Really now? That sounds really convenient, so let's test it out.
'Stat Preview', I thought.
Sure enough, a summarized Status Window showed up. I decided to have a look through it. I like what I am seeing!

A/N: Going forward, If I want my Status Window to be present in a chapter, I will use this "Stat Preview" function. It should be easier on the eyes too!
'Wow, that really condensed by a lot. I can see what it means by the final result too. I just see my Stats and Skills without all of that extra context in there. I can open my full Status Window whenever I want to so I like this change. I don't need to look at every single little detail each time. I might show this function to Tony and Pepper too, given the time.', I thought, feeling pleased with what I saw. 'And sure enough, what I wanted to see was there. Wind Magic!'
I need to use Wind Magic ten thousand times to officially acquire it as my own. And if Points Doubler is triggering when its count increases per use or per kill, then that time is officially cut in half. Seriously, this is broken. I only need to use Wind Magic five thousand times! And since I have the Ring of the Wind Spirit equipped, it should let me create any sort of Wind Spell that I want to.
This piece of Equipment not only gives me the opportunity to keep Wind Magic as my own Field Skill later on, I have immediate access to using Wind Magic too!
Feeling satisfied with what I saw, I closed my Stat Preview. One thing to note, it shows my Attack and Magic Power, and Attack and Magic Damage. It even gives me my Resistance and Magic Resistance. Spells should be pretty straightforward right now, as I do not have any Equipment to factor in as an external modifier. These Zombies don't have any Magic Resistance at all, so using Spells right now might turn out quite devastating once the next wave arrives.
Besides, I haven't used any Points until I became Level 5. With those 12 Points, and the 36 Points I gained from the three levels, I have 48 Points to use right now. My VIT is already kicking off seeing that I have more than ten thousand HP right now. It is one of my lower Stats, yes, but I don't think it is something I need to worry about. I'll want to see how much damage I take from the next wave in the meantime.
For now, I decided on how I was going to use these Points. Seeing the Gamer Notifications follow suit, I smiled.

[Ding! Through a special Action, a new Field Skill has been generated.]
[Ding! Field Skill, Elemental Detection (C) has been added to your Skills.]
'Elemental Detection? I think I may know what that is, but let's have a look just in case.', I thought, becoming surprised to see a new Field Skill get added to my Skills.
[Elemental Detection]
You can now perceive what element Monsters are weak to. The effect automatically triggers and goes hand-in-hand with Observe.
Name: Elemental Detection
Type: Field Skill
Rank: C
Level: N/A
Proficiency: N/A
Special Effect: Striking a lower afflatus will increase Magic Damage by 100%.
Quite the simple Field Skill, but an effective one at that. No matter what Monster I will come across, it will automatically show me what element it is weak to, and it will increase my overall Magic Damage if I use the right element. Neat!
And now, with these new Stats, I can tackle the Level 7 Low Rank Zombies, and have Keen Precision trigger on each one. It reacts to the final boosted gain, so with DEX being 64 now, I can easily land critical blows onto each one. As for Pepper, she cannot. She still has 40 DEX. But like me, she has a lot of Points ready to use. We'll see about using them here or not.
Still, there's an order to everything. I want to test out Wind Magic! Creating a Spell shouldn't be too hard, right?
I mean, you see a bunch of anime protagonists in their respective stories creating magic and spells left and right as easily as they breathe air. Who says I can't?
Imagination is key when it comes to Magic!
I'll have Pepper use her Stats once we learn how to use Magic. The third wave of Zombies hasn't come yet, so we have a little bit of time to use.
From there, I closed my eyes and raised one of my fingers. I imagined a little storm brewing. Not a powerful one, just one strong enough to whip up a little bit of wind.
At first, nothing happened. Pepper just saw my finger extended outward. And yet, in the next moment, she felt a little chill in the air as her hair fluttered about. Wooosh!
A small burst of wind came forth, green in color. The air around us fluctuated with Mana. In but a short moment or two, the wind swirled around my finger, and formed a ball. Nothing fancy.
"You've got to be kidding me. It's that easy!?", Pepper exclaimed, becoming shocked to see Spell created right before her eyes.
I mean, I don't need bullsh*t my way out of this one, do I? I pictured forming a ball on top of my finger, and it actually worked!
Sure enough, I saw another Gamer Notification come through.
[Ding! A new function of the Gamer System is now online!]
[Ding! You may now access your Spell Book.]
[Ding! Through a special Action, a new Spell has been generated.]
[Ding! Wind Sphere (F) - Lv1 (0.0%) has been added to your Spell Book.]
So that is how Magic works, huh? I thought it'd get added under Active Skills, but it actually created a new function for me. I can now use my Spell Book.
"Not the craziest sh*t I've seen.", Tony added, also showing an amused look in his eyes. "Is this really Magic?"
"Seems to be that way. I'm not exactly sure what this does.", I said, and I was being honest here.
Let's have a look, shall we?
[Ding! Observe has triggered.]
[Ding! Observe has leveled up! 4 -> 5.]
Neat. Still a long way to go to max out Observe's Level. Regardless, I proceeded to look at the details of Wind Sphere, and also how my damage is calculated. It looks like Attack Damage and Magic Damage are calculated differently. That makes sense!
[Wind Sphere.]
You create a small sphere of compressed wind and launch it at a single target. Though simple in design, the condensed air strikes with a surprising amount of force. It makes it an excellent Spell for beginners. It has no cooldown time, so cast plenty to your heart's content!
Name: Wind Sphere
Rank: F
Level: 1
Proficiency: 0.0%
Cost: 5 MP
Range: Single Target
Damage: Inflicts 100% Spell Power.
Incantation: N/A
Cooldown: N/A
I inwardly nodded at the details of Wind Sphere, then I recalled the difference between my Attack Damage and Magic Damage from the Stat Preview. I know why the two have such a stark difference, full pun intended by the way. It registered my Zanpakuto as Attack Damage. It isn't the same as Magic Damage!
So the two Zanpakuto only work on the physical side of things. I can make that work. They don't get applied to my Magic Damage, hence why my Magic Damage is so low. I also noticed WIS is being factored into Magic Resistance, so that is how that works, huh?
In due time, I'm sure WIS will play into a Spell's cooldown. It also affects how much MP I can restore when I am in an idle position. It hasn't triggered in Instance Dungeons, so it looks like that doesn't count as an idle position. I'll have to keep that in mind.
On the bright side, even though it doesn't factor in the physical Equipment Power, my eyes landed on one particular area of the description that I read.
Wind Sphere has no cooldown!
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Wooosh! Wooosh! Wooosh!
Before Pepper and Tony could react to the single Wind Sphere I had over my finger, I recited the Wind Spell in my mind.
Somewhat of a shame, but a Wind Sphere is very simple. I know chanting Spells is a big thing in a lot of stories that I've read, and with those come incantation lines. There was no such thing with the Wind Sphere. Perhaps more complex Spells will require me to chant those down the line, but I didn't have to worry about that for this.
Instead, I saw more Gamer Notifications come through. I didn't designate any particular area. Wind Sphere after Wind Sphere whipped into existence. It became rather windy!
[Ding! You have conjured 20 Wind Spheres!]
[Ding! Your Current MP: 811/911.]
[Ding! Your Skill Proficiency of Wind Sphere has increased!]
[Ding! Wind Sphere has leveled up! 1 -> 4.]
[Ding! Wind Sphere Spell Power: 140%.]
Just like that, twenty Wind Spheres formed around me.
"This...", Pepper uttered, looking shocked again. "Weren't we going to see whether or not I can create a Water Spell? Why did you suddenly create twenty!?"
"I just kind of felt like doing so. Mind if I attack the third wave? I promise you'll get to do the fourth one.", I said, and grinned.
"Fine. I'm not thrilled to participate in battling anyway. You seem to be, so I'll leave you to your own devices.", Pepper responded, and sighed.
"Fantastic!", I said.
As if on cue, we soon heard more growling, coming from all the side corridors of this endless-looking street.
[Ding! The fourth wave has arrived.]
A full one-hundred Zombies this time around, eh? Their numbers just continue to grow in size! I even see a couple Level 8 Low Rank Zombies added into the mix this time around.
"Yosh, let's do this.", I said, ready to dash in at a moment's notice.
