Joji, Rizz, and the six kobolds crouched behind a tree thick enough to hide a cart.
Not far ahead, a Forest Troll Guard lumbered through the woods in heavy wooden armor, all twelve feet of him plated over. One glance was enough to tell whose land this was.
Troll territory.
Joji glanced at Ching and Chong.
In his mind, chihuahuas had their uses. They were small, presentable, and just cute enough to stir a stranger's protective instincts. Or so he hoped.
He nudged the pair, then pursed his lips toward the troll.
"Go talk to that fellow over there," Joji whispered.
"Boss Knight, are you trying to get us killed? One stomp and we're paste," Ching hissed.
"Yeah. Look at those arms and legs. Very chunky, I'd say," Chong added.
Joji leaned closer, speaking with the confidence of a man risking someone else's hide.
