Chapter 1 - PAST — THE WORLD OF IMAGINATIONS

Present Day

Planet Vegras.

A world of mortals.

Unlike realms ruled by cultivators, Vegras was shaped by minerals, natural resources, and relentless human effort. Progress was forged through research, science, and knowledge preserved in books, academies, and ancient libraries. Generation after generation passed down wisdom, building civilization piece by piece.

Life moved forward as it always had. Merchants bargained in crowded markets.

Children laughed through village streets.

Scholars debated theories within marble halls.

No one sensed the looming catastrophe.

No one realized that within hours, their world would become a battlefield for beings they believed existed only in legends.

After a Few Hours

The sky split open.

Thousands of elite warriors rose into the heavens, their bodies radiating blood-colored auras. Cultivators.

Death incarnate.

As they advanced over the Risoic Islands, terror spread across the land. Cities froze in horror as shadows descended from the sky. Civilians screamed, fled, prayed—none were spared.

With a single strike—

Millions died.

Streets became rivers of blood.

Cities drowned in crimson.

This was no longer a conflict confined to Vegras.

Two great universal clans—the Su Clan and the Onsaar Clan—had ignited war across 13,287 planets. Yet among them all, one world screamed louder than the rest.

A mortal planet.

Caught between legends.

Planet Vegras trembled.

The heavens shook.

And far beyond mortal sight, on a dead world soaked in blood, a curse began to crack.

The countdown had begun.

Five Years Earlier

Inside the University of Velmorth, in the heart of Velmorth City, a young man sat silently in a quiet classroom.

He was twenty years old.

His head was lowered, posture stiff. Beneath his eyes lingered faint, dried traces of tears—marks of emotions he had already buried deep within himself. Around him, students laughed, whispered, and packed their belongings, unaware that his mind was far removed from reality—

***Far beyond life and time, within a dead cosmic cluster, a battlefield existed.

Cracked, lifeless planets drifted in endless darkness. Above them stretched a black sky twisted with red, black, and yellow nebulae, swirling like watchful eyes.

At the center stood a woman dressed in white.

She gripped a sword that shimmered like fragile glass, reflecting distant starlight. Her body was torn with deep wounds, blood flowing freely onto the shattered ground. Yet she remained standing.

Before her loomed another figure.

An existence wrapped in dense black fog, so thick his form was barely visible. Only his yellow eyes shone through the darkness—eyes capable of instilling terror into any living being. Nearly seven feet tall, he radiated overwhelming oppression.

The enemy she faced with her final strength.

The figure laughed.

The sound echoed across the dead world—hollow, heavy, terrifying.

"Hm… neither Vijhan nor his companion Kryshaajh is here anymore," he said, his voice reverberating through space.

"Today, no one can stop me from taking the Core of Snow Essence."

The darkness around him thickened.

"Do you truly believe," he continued coldly, "that you can survive today? That fool Vijhan died for someone like you."

Power surged violently around him. Space trembled as he attacked.

This time—

She could not endure it.

Her legs gave way. She collapsed onto the broken ground as her sword slipped from her grasp. Pain consumed the last of her strength.

Staring at the nebula-filled sky, a thought echoed faintly in her fading consciousness.

Is the Core of Snow Essence truly so powerful… that he desires it this desperately?

Then why… am I losing?

Her breathing grew shallow.

Forgive me, Vijhan… everything I said before was a misunderstanding.

Her eyes slowly closed.

Today, I learned all the secrets I wished to know.

Now… I have no sorrow in dying.

One final wish lingered within her soul.

If only you were the one… to make use of my soul…

Darkness claimed her.

In Another Dimension

Days after the devastating battle, a lone young man raced across the universe, tearing through stars and galaxies at terrifying speed. Space warped around him, yet he did not slow.

His hands were covered in deep wounds—raw reminders of a battle that refused to fade.

He landed on a lifeless planet, its surface cracked and stained in red and black. At its center floated a massive black platform, nearly a hundred feet above the ground.

The young man staggered toward it.

Then collapsed.

Silence followed—so deep that even the universe seemed to pause.

Then laughter erupted.

Loud.

Echoing.

Unstable.

Not laughter of joy, but of pain and despair.

Clutching his injured hands, he shouted into the void,

"This world is truly strange, Kae'lin.

I never imagined that just to stop someone like me…

you would limit yourselves and seal yourselves at Level Three."

The laughter faded, replaced by grief.

"Zikin…" he whispered.

"I promise you. No matter the cost… I will bring you back."

His voice trembled.

"I will resurrect you and give you—and Insin—a peaceful life."

Silence followed.

Before he could sink deeper into thought, the sky stirred.

Dense black clouds gathered above—thick, endless, terrifying. Without warning, they descended and seeped into his body.

Pain exploded.

A soul-rending scream tore through space.

Dark runes carved themselves across his flesh as an ancient power awakened—hungry, merciless.

His vision blurred.

His strength drained.

Consciousness faded.

Just before darkness claimed him, his lips trembled.

"I trust you all…

I know one of you will find a way…

a way… to find me."

The black fog swallowed him whole.***

Suddenly—

Ring! Ring! Ring!

A sharp bell echoed violently.

Nyx's eyes snapped open.

"Hey, Nyx! Bro, class is over. You should head back to your room!"

The classroom came back into focus.

But the scream—

Still echoed deep within his soul.
