Chapter 50 - Chapter 50: Hagrid the Legend?

Training in a state of absolute physical limit can stimulate the latent potential existing within the body more effectively, allowing Goku to enhance his strength with much greater efficiency. An hour of such training can yield results equivalent to most of a normal day's practice.

If he were training on his own, although he would try his best to push his physical potential, he would inevitably have some degree of subconscious reservation.

It was just like his training under Grandpa Roshi; the old master would strictly supervise them, even setting dinosaurs and sharks loose behind them to stimulate their ultimate potential through survival instinct.

"Episkey!"

As Goku finally set down the giant log and sat on the ground, utterly exhausted, Dumbledore waved his wand, releasing healing magic over the boy. Under Dumbledore's refined control, this magic for healing wounds helped Goku repair the muscle fibers that had been torn and micro-damaged due to the intense exercise.

After releasing the healing magic, he took out a bottle of potion for Goku to consume. This was a Strengthening Solution brewed by Madam Pomfrey, designed to rapidly restore physical condition. Moments later, Goku stood back up, as lively as a tiger.

"Oppugno!"

The training continued. Dumbledore waved his wand, and a dense swarm of arrows materialized out of thin air, shooting toward Goku. Goku, in turn, hoisted the giant log once more and began practicing his evasive maneuvers. Later on, Dumbledore would occasionally create treacherous terrain like bogs and mud pits to increase the difficulty, further stimulating Goku's potential.

In his view, the Turtle School training method was essentially about squeezing the body's potential to its absolute limit, constantly reinforcing physical strength, speed, and endurance. This wasn't a difficult concept to understand; it was simply that very few people possessed the resolve to persist through it.

Last night, while organizing the Ki Magic curriculum, Dumbledore had already pinpointed the key to the Turtle School's training. However, knowing the method did not mean he could replace Goku in guiding the young wizards' cultivation.

While the training content was straightforward, the techniques of how to condense ki within the body after the physical form was enhanced, and how to utilize that ki in combat—these insights and realizations could only be taught by a true martial arts master like Goku. Dumbledore understood very little about how to fight using ki and the physical body in tandem.

Therefore, Dumbledore primarily played a supporting role; the actual instruction still relied on Goku. Likewise, regarding Goku's own Training here, Dumbledore could only follow the underlying logic of the Turtle School and use the convenience of magic to provide the maximum amount of assistance. If Goku's combat style required magical coordination later on, Dumbledore could certainly offer many suggestions.

"Alright, it is time for us to return to the school for breakfast."

Seeing that the time had reached eight o'clock, Dumbledore stopped his spellcasting, preparing to take Goku back to eat. Just then, Hagrid poked his massive head out of the wooden hut.

"Professor, Goku! I've made some rock cakes for you. Fresh out of the oven, still hot!"

"Awesome! I'm so hungry!"

Upon hearing 'food,' Goku immediately sprinted toward Hagrid. The morning's training had left his stomach feeling like it was about to cave in. Dumbledore's magic and potions could repair his muscle damage and restore part of his stamina, but they couldn't alleviate his hunger.

"I think you might regret that," Dumbledore muttered. Having just intended to decline, he watched as Goku already charged into the house. He helplessly rubbed his somewhat loose old teeth and followed after them.

"I am not hungry yet; I'll just have a piece of Treacle Fudge."

Seeing Hagrid enthusiastically serve up the grey, rock-like, massive cakes, Dumbledore picked up a piece of soft fudge from the table and popped it into his mouth. Although the fudge was sticky enough to glue one's mouth shut, at least it would slowly melt.

But rock cakes—he truly couldn't bite into them. Doing so would force his old teeth into early retirement. He could have used Transfiguration to turn the rock cakes into a dessert he liked, but that would have hurt Hagrid's feelings too much.

"Time to eat!"

Looking at the fragrant, steaming rock cakes covered in raisins, Goku immediately grabbed a sliced piece and stuffed it into his mouth.

"Mmm... good... really good..."

In Goku's mouth, the rock cakes were merely like slightly crispy biscuits, posing no challenge at all. Very quickly, a whole rock cake vanished into his stomach.

"What incredible teeth!" Dumbledore marveled inwardly at the sight.

"There's more here!" Hagrid, seeing this, was overjoyed and handed over a second piece. Having his carefully cooked food appreciated made him exceptionally happy. Soon, every single rock cake Hagrid had baked was inside Goku's belly.

"Half-full!"

Goku patted his belly and jumped down from the chair, putting his hands together to bow to Hagrid. "Thank you for the treat!"

"If you ever want to eat, you're welcome to come over anytime." Hagrid had a very high opinion of Goku and gave the boy a firm pat on the shoulder.

"Hagrid, we shall return this evening."

Dumbledore summoned Fawkes, taking Goku back to the Headmaster's office via Apparition. He then tapped the table, and a lavish breakfast instantly appeared.

"Grandpa Dumbledore, I think Hagrid is very suitable for learning how to use ki. If he trains well, he'll become a very powerful master," Goku said while starting his second round of eating.

Hagrid was three and a half meters tall with a formidable physique; Goku felt he wasn't much different from his Uncle Ox-King. With such a physical foundation, just a little bit of training should allow him to master the ki within his body and become a powerful martial artist.

"You mean Hagrid..."

Dumbledore was stunned for a moment, and then his eyes suddenly lit up. "Yes! Why didn't I think of Hagrid!"

Regarding the study of the ki magic from Goku's world, he had never considered adult wizards; he had only been thinking of the young students. This was because an adult wizard's body was set; no matter how hard they trained, it would likely be difficult to surpass the limit and produce ki.

Furthermore, adult wizards had their own duties and couldn't clear their schedules for training like students could. Their mindsets were also more fixed; even knowing ki magic was powerful, it would be hard to make them change their philosophy. Even he himself was like that.

Snape, McGonagall, and the others had never expressed a desire to learn ki magic during their meeting. Forcing those professors to do frog-hops on the ground while carrying logs—they would rather die.

However, he had overlooked one person: Hagrid.

Hagrid, possessing giant blood, already had a body that surpassed the human limit even without training. He possessed the fundamental conditions to condense ki energy. Crucially, Hagrid had been expelled in his third year; though he knew some magic, he wasn't strictly bound by it.

What Hagrid truly loved were magical creatures, and in that field, he was second only to Newt Scamander. Moreover, Hagrid's heart was quite pure, somewhat similar to Goku's.

So, if Hagrid followed Goku in training, perhaps he would quickly become a martial arts master capable of using ki. If that were the case, maybe when Voldemort tried to cause trouble in the future, Hagrid could flatten him into a meat pie single-handedly.

So... could Hagrid be the true savior of this world?
