Luther was undeniably a man of exceptional ability. Though he appeared to be in his early twenties, he possessed a vast intellect and had already earned several doctoral degrees—specifically, 21st-century doctorates from the DC Universe.
Even without access to Kryptonian technology at this stage, Luther's knowledge was decades ahead of his time.
Beyond his personal circumstances, which were somewhat complicated, Luther's formidable qualifications and intellectual prowess would easily have allowed him to rise to the top of society.
And then there was the power of knowledge itself.
However, Han Shaoqing was somewhat surprised that Luther had obtained access to the Super Soldier Serum so quickly.
The Super Soldier Serum was a chemical solution developed during World War II by German scientist Abraham Erskine. Its formula was designed to enhance human physical and mental capabilities and was used by the American military during the war.
Its most famous product was Captain America.
Germany had also experimented with the serum, but their efforts proved less successful, resulting in the creation of Red Skull and, later, some Winter Soldiers.
Shortly after Captain America's successful injection of the Super Soldier Serum, Dr. Abraham Erskine was assassinated by a spy, and his research and documents were destroyed, halting America's plans to mass-produce super soldiers.
Over the years, some incomplete formulas for the Super Soldier Serum have been leaked through the operations of spies from various nations. This has led major powers to attempt to reverse-engineer the Super Soldier Serum, resulting in the creation of several half-finished products, all of which carry severe side effects.
Among these is the organization Hydra, whose members grow two heads for every one that is severed.
For decades, Hydra has been biding its time, secretly developing its influence across the globe. It has grown silently, even infiltrating the Department of Defense, strategic defense, attack, and logistics support bureaus with many of its members.
Hydra's rapid expansion was evident when it incited the US and the Soviet Union to go to war, with its leadership fanning the flames of conflict.
When Han Shaoqing visited the Pentagon, White Queen Emma discovered that two senior senators were Hydra members. Han Shaoqing specifically instructed her not to eliminate them, and secretly had her control one of them. This explains why Luther was able to find and join Hydra so quickly.
Recently, Luther obtained a legitimate identity and passed the tests to join Hydra.
Due to his exceptional talent and connections, he was soon given access to the Super Soldier Serum experiments.
Using his sharp mind, Luther quickly overcame two technical challenges, earning special attention and a promotion to Research Supervisor.
In short, Luther was thriving within Hydra.
When Luther mentioned the Super Soldier Serum, Han Shaoqing showed some interest, though not much.
The Super Soldier Serum indeed offered significant benefits to ordinary people, enhancing physical capabilities, boosting intelligence, and extending lifespan.
For example, Captain America, the Winter Soldier, and Black Widow all received injections of the Super Soldier Serum. However, such enhancements were negligible to Han Shaoqing.
Still, Han Shaoqing instructed Luther to continue developing the Super Soldier Serum. Even if he couldn't use it himself, he could provide it to his subordinates.
After all, not everyone had a Check-in System that allowed for rapid power growth.
This was the way of the Marvel World: the rich relied on technology, while the poor relied on mutations.
"Take this," Han Shaoqing said after a moment's thought, handing Luther a small vial containing Raven's blood. This blood had been drawn with Raven's consent during Hank's research on the Suppression Serum. "Study it in secret when you have time. See if it's compatible with the Super Soldier Serum."
The X-Gene in Raven's blood is exceptionally unique and highly compatible. In *X-Men: Days of Future Past*, the Sentinel robots acquired their shapeshifting abilities through Raven's genes.
If Luther could successfully research and stabilize the X-Gene, he could create a massive army of Mutants.
This would be an excellent choice for defending against alien invasions in the future, conquering the stars, or even just for getting more achievements.
However, before that, Luther needed to research the X-Gene to determine its compatibility.
If the X-Gene and the Super Soldier Serum proved highly compatible, Han Shaoqing could have Erik, Charles, and others inject it to enhance their abilities. This would lead to greater rewards when they "checked in."
After chatting for a while, Han Shaoqing used the Great Red's ability to share a small amount of power with Luther.
Talent was worth nurturing. Luther's infiltration of Hydra as a spy carried certain risks. It was better to be prepared for the worst than to regret it later.

While perhaps not quite as beautiful as Artoria, her figure was undeniably impressive.
She was as serene as a maiden at rest, elegant and composed, yet when she moved, she became as alluring and enchanting as a siren.
"Greetings, my lord," Mera said, swimming in the sea like a mermaid, circling Han Shaoqing.
The characters summoned by Han Shaoqing always had their affection maxed out, their loyalty beyond question.
At this time, Mera had not yet become the Sea Queen; she was still the Princess of Xebel, who had run away from home to avoid a politically arranged marriage to King Orm, the Lord of the Seas.
She had then been forcibly summoned to this world.
Yet, instead of resentment, Mera showed Han Shaoqing extraordinary respect.
"Mera, this weapon belongs to you."
Han Shaoqing retrieved Namor's trident from his Cosmic Ring and handed it to Mera.
One trident was enough. It wouldn't be suitable for anyone else, and now that Mera had appeared, giving it to her was the most appropriate choice.
"The Trident! I don't deserve this honor. What can I do to serve you, my lord?"
Seeing the golden, shimmering trident, Mera was deeply moved but showed no trace of presumption, only a slight nervousness.
"Take it. With increased strength, you'll be able to serve me more effectively."
Han Shaoqing placed the trident in Mera's hands.
Mera's strength was considerable. While her physique might not match that of the Sea King, she far surpassed ordinary humans. In terms of raw power, she was at least as strong as Black Widow or Hawkeye, and she possessed hydrokinetic abilities.
With the trident, her power would increase dramatically, making her a top-tier combatant among Earth-level superheroes.
