Chapter 112 - Saving the Mutants

With Erik, Magneto, on the scene, the metal weapons were reduced to mere decorations.

Though Erik considered Victor rather reckless, he still intervened to block the bullets aimed at the younger mutant, reflecting them back.

"Ah!!!"

The guards, lacking superpowers or healing factors, collapsed in agony as the bullets struck.

Despite his sharp tongue, Erik showed consideration for the children's emotions. He refrained from killing the guards outright in their presence, merely incapacitating them.

"It's a mutant!"

"Magneto's here!"

"Quick, ditch all the metal!"

The island's guards, clearly well-trained and knowledgeable about mutants, reacted swiftly. They hurried to remove their metal gear, some even drawing specialized plastic firearms.

Though made of plastic, these weapons packed the same destructive force as their real-steel counterparts.

Because the bullets were plastic, Erik couldn't control them.

Han Shaoqing remained inactive. The plastic rounds bounced harmlessly off his Vibranium armor, making it unnecessary to worry about Quicksilver and the others.

Erik formed a metal shield to protect his face, kicking himself for being so careless and almost getting caught in a ditch.

"Plastic weapons? They were prepared!"

Seeing the guards attacking with plastic guns, Erik's killing intent surged. Unlike the indecisive Charles, Erik was a ruthless and decisive killer. Just as he was about to strike, he sensed something wrong with the ground and warned Victor, "Victor, stop!"

"What is it? Wait until I..."

"Boom~"

Victor ignored the warning and kept running, stepping on a landmine. The explosion sent him flying.

"Fuck~"

Amidst the smoke and dust, Victor lay in a pool of blood. The mine had mangled his legs, flesh and bone torn to shreds, and shrapnel pierced his body. Any ordinary person would have died instantly.

But Victor possessed the self-healing factor. The wounds only caused him discomfort, not death.

"Wow~"

"So scary!"

Scarlet Witch and Phoenix, still young, were startled by the sudden scene of blood and gore.

Li Qianhuan, in her innocence, asked, "Did Sabretooth die? Can we have the feast now?"

"..."

Han Shaoqing was speechless. He never expected the demure and adorable Li Qianhuan to be so wild!

The young mutants reacted differently to the scene, which was indeed overwhelming for them.

Cyclops immediately activated his eye beams, his eyes turning crimson.

Fortunately, the visor on his helmet was made of polished red quartz, preventing his laser eyes from firing wildly.

Psylocke remained calmer, even eager. Having grown up in a ninja organization and already stained her hands with blood, she now had a Vibranium suit that made her impervious to harm. She wanted to show off in front of Han Shaoqing.

But they were all suspended in mid-air by the magnetic field, forced to watch helplessly.

Hearing Victor's pained cry, Erik shook his head. "I warned you to follow orders."

"Shut up."

Victor's defiance was remarkable; not cursing Erik on the spot was already a concession.

"Take your bickering elsewhere," Han Shaoqing said calmly, his gaze drifting toward the dozens of guards in the distance. With a wave of his hand, he sent them flying into the air via anti-gravity before letting them plummet to the ground. Even if they survived, they were left half-dead.

The protective energy field vanished instantly.

The military knew that Erik, Magneto, could control metal, so they specifically developed plastic firearms. However, the technology wasn't mature enough, and they were more expensive and less powerful than ordinary firearms, so they weren't mass-produced.

To Han Shaoqing, it made no difference whether they were metal or plastic firearms. As long as they were within the range of his *Universal Gravitation*, they had to crawl obediently.

After clearing the obstacles, Han Shaoqing and his group entered the base and quickly located the dungeon where the mutants were imprisoned.

Over a dozen mutants were locked away in individual iron cages, treated like dogs.

The mutants were treated differently based on their abilities.

Some had their limbs shackled, others were sealed in jars, some were mummified, and some had already had their organs removed.

Some cages were empty, with only traces of blood remaining!

The imprisoned mutants had diverse abilities: some stuck out long tongues like frogs, others had strange patterns on their skin, some clung to the ceiling with their limbs, and others radiated chilling cold.

"These bastards!"

"How could they do this?! Why?!"

"Damn bastards! This is too much!"

Seeing their fellow Mutants in the dungeon, treated like livestock awaiting slaughter, the young X-Men felt a surge of empathy, anger, and confusion.

They were enraged by humanity's persecution of Mutants.

At the same time, they couldn't understand why humans would treat Mutants this way.

As Charles had feared, the brutal scene deeply affected most of the young Mutants.

The reality was cruel: a Mutant's gifts could elevate them, but they could also bring about their own destruction.

Jealousy twisted human faces, and fear drove them to strike first!

"Children, don't be afraid. We're here to save you."

Seeing the plight of their fellow Mutants, Erik seethed with rage, his hands itching to slaughter the base's tormentors. But saving lives came first. With a flick of his hand, he tore open the iron cages holding the Mutants, leaving only a few trapped inside.

The others walked out on their own.

Soon, all the imprisoned Mutants were freed. Some looked at Han Shaoqing and the others with bewilderment.

Han Shaoqing sensed the telepathic device within the base and crushed it from a distance. Then, using Teleportation, he opened a spatial portal.

"Erik, Lia, take them back to Skull Island first. Leave the rest to me."

Bringing the X-Men's new members here was meant to force them to recognize reality, making them appreciate the Skull Island base more.

Everything requires comparison. After this experience, Han Shaoqing believed they would grow to respect Skull Island and the X-Men even more, strengthening their internal cohesion—exactly what he wanted.

The subsequent events would be quite bloody and unsuitable for children.

Especially for Phoenix and Scarlet Witch, whose powers were immense yet volatile.

If they truly succumbed to darkness, even Han Shaoqing would find them difficult to handle.

"Then we'll leave it to you," Erik said, still trusting Han Shaoqing. He immediately returned to Skull Island with Artoria and the rescued Mutants through the spatial portal.

Left behind were Han Shaoqing, Red Devil, Victor, and a blonde loli named Emma.
