Chapter 6 - 6: Obsession Begin

Obsession Begins

The city lights stretched endlessly below Lucien's penthouse, but he didn't care about the view. His focus was entirely on the small screen in front of him, where Kai's movements were mapped in faint golden threads only he could see.

"He moves well," Rowan said cautiously. "But he's still human. He won't survive—"

Lucien cut him off with a sharp gesture. "I don't need him to survive. I need him to belong to me."

Rowan swallowed. "Sir…"

Lucien's crimson eyes glowed faintly. "Fate is not given. Fate is taken."

Kai sat at a small café downtown, trying to ignore the gnawing tension in his chest. Every time his phone buzzed, he flinched. Every shadow seemed to stretch toward him, heavy with intent.

He wanted normal. He wanted calm.

He did not want Lucien.

Yet, like gravity, he found himself pulled toward the strange, terrifying energy that seemed to orbit the billionaire.

The bell above the café door chimed, and Kai froze.

Lucien entered.

Not a word. Just a slow, measured step toward Kai. His presence turned heads, and still, all Kai noticed was him.

Lucien leaned against the counter, crimson eyes fixed on Kai.

"I'm glad you didn't run today," he said softly, voice low enough only Kai could hear.

Kai's stomach twisted. "I—uh—"

Lucien stepped closer, bridging the distance with quiet menace. "I don't chase what isn't worth taking."

Kai's chest tightened. "I'm not—"

"Worthless?" Lucien interrupted, almost amused. "Far from it. You're… irresistible."

Heat flared beneath Kai's skin. He turned abruptly, forcing himself to focus on the menu.

Lucien's hand rested lightly on the table, inches from Kai's. "You can try to ignore me, but I won't ignore you."

Kai felt the pull, the magnetic weight of that possessive gaze. "I'm leaving," he said quickly, gathering his things.

Lucien didn't move. "I'll see you tomorrow. Don't disappoint me."

Kai left, heart racing, mind spinning, unaware that Lucien was already plotting how to make the boy his completely.

Obsession had begun.

If you want, I can continue with Chapter 7 next, keeping the same intensity, tension, and teasing obsession.
