Thor, that big oaf, had learned the true meaning of values in his short time on Earth.
He worked to earn money, spent his evenings with Jane, and when he had free time, he'd read with her and learn about Earth.
He was practically a model citizen, embodying the five stresses and four beauties.
In the movie, he'd resigned himself to Earth life because Loki had deceived him. He believed he'd caused his father's death, and his mother had forbidden him from returning to Asgard, leaving him utterly disheartened.
But now that Qin Xiao had revealed the truth, he'd truly settled down, shedding his impatience and impulsivity. These were two entirely different concepts.
In contrast, his 1,500 years in Asgard had been a complete waste of time.
Odin's parenting had been truly...
He probably couldn't stand it himself, so he'd created the so-called Odin's Sleep to turn a blind eye and let them sort things out on their own.
While Odin had found peace, Loki's ascension to acting king had stirred up the Warriors Three, Thor's childhood companions.
Fandral, Volstagg, and Hogun—the trio known as the Warriors Three—along with Sif, the goddess of earth and harvest and Thor's nominal fiancée.
The four of them arrived at the Rainbow Bridge Temple and found Heimdall.
After a lengthy exchange of self-serving lies, Heimdall placed the Guardian's Sword on the Bifrost's control panel and drifted away with a self-satisfied air.
After sending a few people to Earth to find Thor, Heimdall stood on the Bifrost and sighed.
To him, this was no different than playing house with children.
The affairs of Odin's royal family were...troublesome.
He would soon have to play along with Loki's charade.
As the saying goes, even the most upright official can't settle domestic disputes. Let alone Odin.
Even Frigga, the Queen of Asgard and mother of Thor, renowned as the wisest person in all of Asgard, chose to turn a blind eye to her family's affairs. Under the guise of caring for Odin, she simply hid away, allowing Loki to run wild on the throne.
Heimdall even turned a blind eye when Loki colluded with the Frost Giants. Fortunately, Loki's plan was to lure them into a trap, wipe them out in one fell swoop, and prove to Odin that he was the best candidate for the throne.
But then again, if Loki hadn't directly slain the Frost Giants' leader with Gungnir, would the Allfather, lying in his bed in Odin's Sleep, really have been so easily killed?
Whenever Qin Xiao thought of this in his past life, he couldn't help but shudder.
Letting two children cause chaos across the Nine Realms ultimately brought them to open their hearts and cooperate sincerely.
Facing the inevitable Ragnarok, they directly sacrificed all of Asgard to accompany Hela in death, securing their two sons' escape from the Ragnarok curse.
That is to say, after Asgard's destruction, before they encountered Thanos.
Every action of Thor and Loki was subconsciously influenced by Odin and Frigga.
Apart from these two cunning old foxes and Heimdall, who saw through everything but remained silent, the rest of Asgard were practically fools.
Just as Qin Xiao was thinking this, a seven-colored light descended from the swirling, dark clouds in the distant sky, landing on the ground outside the town.
At S.H.I.E.L.D.'s temporary base, all surveillance equipment erupted in frantic alarms.
Thanks to the research data contributed by Jane and the scientific instruments assembled into a space detector, they detected the formation of a spatial rift between two dimensions.
"What the hell is going on?" Coulson burst into the room, his face contorted in a pained expression.
"That's the legendary Bifrost. A few big dummies just came from Asgard—oh, no, I mean, some gods. Let's go take a look!"
Qin Xiao didn't know when he'd appeared behind Coulson.
Standing beside them was the biggest fool in Asgard, Thor, the Thunder God.
Knowing that Loki would soon send the Destroyer to attack, Qin Xiao instructed Coulson to bring no one else. Just the three of them piled into a single car and drove out of town.
"It seems your friend wants you to return. What do you think, Thor?" Qin Xiao asked the Thunder God from the car.
"To be honest, I might not be fit to be king. I see things too simply. Perhaps Loki would be a better king than I am," Thor murmured, his head bowed.
"Neither of you is suitable to be king," Qin Xiao declared. "One doesn't know how to rule, and the other simply wants the throne."
"Jane says the same thing. Honestly, I quite like Earth's elections. A king chosen by the people is far better than our family slaughtering each other for the throne!"
"Congratulations, Thor. You've found a truly wonderful girlfriend!"
Qin Xiao didn't want to comment on social systems, but Jane had indeed given Thor many valuable and sensible pieces of advice during this time.
Not long after they left town, they encountered four figures dressed in medieval attire approaching from the opposite direction.
"Stop the car, Coulson! That's my friends!"
Thor was genuinely delighted to see the Warriors Three and Sif.
Before the car had even come to a complete stop, he leaped out and gave them all a massive hug.
"Are you sure these are gods from Asgard? They look more like Warrior Princess Xena, Robin Hood, and Jackie Chan! That fat guy looks exactly like Gragas from League of Legends, except he's wielding an axe!" (Don't ask me if League of Legends exists in Marvel; if Jackie Chan does, so does LOL.)
Coulson pointed at the group outside the car, his expression utterly bewildered.
"While I strongly disagree with comparing Jackie Chan to that buffoon outside, I have to admit, if anyone told me gods looked like this, I'd slap them hard!"
"By the way, when are you going to deal with your hair? I know a great depilatory!"
As Qin Xiao spoke, he suddenly remembered the bet he had made with Coulson.
"I'm sorry, Qin, I shouldn't have compared you to a Chinese superstar and that idiot outside. I misspoke. I meant that idiot outside looks like a creepy Japanese ninja—you know, some kind of so-called Japanese ronin samurai. Whatever it is, he's definitely not Chinese."
Coulson's survival instincts were razor-sharp. In his life, his most prized possession was his antique sports car, which he treated like a girlfriend. His hair came in a close second, with Captain America's trading card ranking third.
Qin Xiao snorted coldly, his gaze fixed on Coulson's receding hairline.
"Fine!"
Coulson sighed.
"I have two tickets to a cello concert—I paid a fortune to get them from a scalper. It's on the 15th of next month, and Agent Romanoff happens to be free that day. She's really into this kind of thing."
"Deal!"
Qin Xiao extended his right hand.
"Let's go! Get out of the car and listen to what these idiots are babbling about!"
