Chapter 33 - Chapter 33

Boom!

Chaos continued in the forest, beasts fighting in different places to satisfy their impulses and desire for strength.

Matthew stood with his guard up, high up in a tree while leaning against the bark of the trunk.

He knew it, he felt it.

Since he heard the Strange Beast's ability to reason, he understood the danger that rational beasts represented, and he also understood that that thing in that cave must be powerful.

"A being that is capable of preventing the Beings that the elves fear from entering the forest without even acting; A being capable of preventing the Beasts from breaking into the shallowest part of the forest or even leaving it. I'm glad again that I didn't send the zombie dogs. But…" Matthew looked into the depths of the forest.

"It doesn't feel as powerful and intimidating as what it feels like to see the continent beyond the ocean. But the difference is not that much, because here I feel that at the slightest mistake my head would roll on the ground. It's surprising that an "A-" Rank can be so weak," Matthew looked again at some of the beasts that were fighting fiercely in the forest.

At that moment the enormous hairy head of what appeared to be an insect crashed against the roots of the tree in which Matthew was standing.

...

Hours and hours passed, Matthew watched as the sky regained its clear tone.

At that moment, the Fairy next to him woke up, she had been sleeping on a branch.

"Is the Beast that trapped you as strong as the other Rational Beasts?" Matthew asked.

The Fairy looked down and shook her head.

"A few centuries are no comparison to several centuries," were the words the Fairy said in response to Matthew's question.

"I must say that is a disconcerting and disturbing answer," Matthew thought.

Matthew had already allowed his zombie dogs to roam around.

"Is there a way to eliminate the impulse caused by moss or beast remains?" Matthew asked.

"It is forbidden to talk about it to strangers," said the Fairy, afraid that Matthew would get angry.

The zombie dogs, following Matthew's instructions, walked around to confirm that there were no threats nearby.

"If you have a home, you must return," Matthew told the Fairy.

"No, I can't. I would die before returning"

"If I survive, sooner or later I will leave, I think I have to," Matthew spread his wings and flew above the treetops with a "bone spear" in his left hand.

Seeing no threats, Matthew considered it highly likely that the rational beasts were influencing the environment.

In the middle of the trees, the zombie dogs were running towards the area where the mysterious cave was located, and above the treetops, Matthew was flying in the same direction.

At that moment he felt a powerful, no, not one, several powerful energies staring at him, he didn't stop, he had the "monster" pill in his mouth, and he was also ready to cut off his own head and throw it beyond the cave if necessary.

"If I have to start over I will do it again and again until I become stronger; but if they force me to fight, I will fight."

The breeze on his face as he continued flying, it was several seconds of uncertainty until he managed to reach the area where the cave in which the mysterious being was hidden was located.

Shortly after, the zombie dogs arrived at the scene.

"The moment I reached the area in which this cave is located, the perception of what I assume were the rational beasts disappeared. It is what I thought, the mysterious being that inhabits this cave restricts the movements of the rational beasts"

The moment Matthew landed, he saw that near a tree not so far away, was the Elf woman who had made a camp.

"These elves are really patient," Matthew thought.

"Wait for me," the Fairy who had flown following Matthew looked somewhat terrified.

"What happened to you?" Matthew asked, watching the Fairy carefully to make sure there was no danger.

"I was scared to think that the beasts would attack. But..." the Fairy looked at the cave as if she perceived something horrifying, but she said no more.
