"Tell me the details."
The reason Furan brought Weilin Te along was precisely because Weilin Te understood information that Furan didn't; naturally, Furan had to listen to Weilin Te's insights.
"Although I don't know exactly what Alant's father, the 'Grey Dragon,' is like, I can already guess based on the behavior of those Monsa residents just now."
"Judging by the title Grey Dragon, he must be a Professional with draconic characteristics; otherwise, he wouldn't have that nickname."
"And you must have seen that enemy just now. It possessed tremendous strength and excellent defense—even your Fireball could only cause minimal damage. However, its agility was clearly lacking, and it barely used any Combat Skills."
"I suspect that the mysterious potion mentioned in the mission briefing is some kind of potion that can transform a person into a dragon-like creature. I just don't know why they don't exhibit draconic features."
"And Alant's goal is to obtain a Dragon-related Talent during this trial."
After Weilin Te finished speaking, she fell into thought. She believed the residents here had definitely drunk this potion, but why did they lack draconic features, such as vertical pupils, scales, or tough claws? "Do you mean dragon transformation potion, right?" Furan recalled fragments she had found in a book while studying Pharmaceutical Studies.
"This potion can grant a human relevant draconic characteristics, such as immense strength, massive size, and hard scales."
Weilin Te's eyes lit up, and she asked:
"You know about potions?"
"Uh... just a little," Furan said, feeling slightly embarrassed.
"Then we can make use of the dragon transformation potion," Weilin Te exclaimed excitedly. "If you understand potions, we just need to find a way to steal the formula and materials, and then we can gain strength by drinking the potion."
This was an unexpected pleasant surprise. She hadn't expected Furan to know how to make potions. This way, after drinking the potion, they could rely on its enhanced strength to defeat the powerful enemy.
Originally, she was worried about how they would pass the Spirit World trial if Luca was an essential figure who had to be defeated to save Monsa City.
If Luca was the only elite monster of that caliber, Furan and she might be able to defeat him by working together. But what if there were many combatants of that specification? Or what if there were even higher-spec combatants?
"Will that work?" Furan asked, frowning. "I'm not talking about making the potion, but will drinking a potion in the Spirit World actually have an effect?"
Logically, their bodies in the Spirit World weren't actually made of flesh and blood; they might not even be the same species as the residents in the trial. Would the potion still work in that case?
"No problem. You might not know this, but many trials in the Spirit World require participants to obtain a certain item before they gain the ability to defeat the enemy. Before that, you might not even be able to inflict damage."
Weilin Te explained excitedly.
Furan immediately followed up:
"What should we do next?"
The next goal was confirmed, but how they should proceed was now the problem.
Currently, the city guards were everywhere, hunting down Spirit Realm Rangers like them. They might trigger a fight the moment they stepped outside.
"Let's first find two sets of clothes for disguise, and also ask the local residents about the specific situation. We don't even know the layout here."
---
In one part of Monsa City, the streets were different from the one Furan first arrived on, which was generally tidy.
The street before them, however, was littered with all kinds of trash, sewage flowed down the road, the surrounding houses were haphazardly arranged, and the pathways were constantly squeezed by structures, barely allowing one person to pass.
This place seemed like the slums of Monsa City. Hardly anyone appeared on the street, and thanks to the dirty and chaotic environment, the guards rarely set foot here.
Two strangely dressed people walked down the street: Furan and Weilin Te. They hadn't taken off their original gear but had simply put on clothes belonging to the local residents over them.
"Why didn't you change out of your robe?" Weilin Te asked curiously. She felt that since she was wearing armor, putting clothes over it made sense.
Furan's yellow robe didn't look like it offered much defense, yet she, too, had put another layer of clothing over it.
"It's my own little secret. Don't ask," Furan offered as an excuse.
The truth was, she found she couldn't take the robe off at all. When she tried to lift the robe above her knees, she felt a strange sensation of her skin being pulled, so Furan ultimately chose to put another layer of clothing over it.
She had no choice. She had considered just giving up on the disguise and moving through the city as they were, but that wasn't feasible.
If you wear an outer layer, the residents here will at most think you are dressed oddly and might stare for a moment.
But if they wore their original gear outside, the residents would immediately report them to the guards, or even attack them directly while shouting "Outsiders."
Thus, they had to put on these clothes. Now, as long as they didn't run into the guards, the residents wouldn't attack them.
However, they still hadn't accomplished the other task: asking about the local basic situation.
Every time they tried to ask about the city, the residents gave them suspicious looks. After several attempts, Furan lost her patience... "We're here. This should do," Furan stopped in front of a relatively intact house, observing it carefully.
"Are we sure we want to do this?" Weilin Te sounded hesitant. Furan's recent suggestion had startled her, and she was still debating whether to go through with it.
"We're already here. Otherwise, do you want to go ask the guards?" Furan countered, and without waiting for Weilin Te's reaction, she walked straight toward the house door.
She took a deep breath, gathered strength in her hands, and slammed one hand directly into the wooden door.
"Bang!" A loud crash came from behind the door. The wooden door was pushed inward slightly, allowing her to see through the gap that the bolt behind it was nearly broken.
She clenched her other hand into a fist and smashed it against the wooden door. This time, the wooden door couldn't withstand Furan's attack; the connection point on the other side snapped, and the entire door fell to the ground with a dull "thud."
Simultaneously, the person inside the house heard the enormous commotion, and a skinny girl emerged from the room.
"Who are you? Why are you breaking into my house?" Una cried out in terror. She grabbed a chair nearby, intending to use it to protect herself.
However, Furan leaned forward, pressing down, and immediately grabbed Una's wrist, causing her to drop the chair in pain.
"I just want to ask a few questions. Don't worry, we won't hurt you," Furan said, trying to be friendly. Her response was another scream.
