Jim was 22 when he woke up and saw in the mirror that his eyes were replaced by two black hollows which could stare into peoples soul . He was rightfully freaked out . He stopped himself from screaming as to not wake up his his parents who were downstairs as it was 3 Am in the middle of the night. It was clear that he couldn't see his own eyes but surprisingly it didn't affect his vision. So he picked up his phone and got to searching he got many different results but none of them were actually related to his situation. So he thought that it's just because he is sleepy and that he must be hallucinating or something. So he went back to sleep thinking that he will go to a doctor for a solution for this . It was difficult to fall asleep as his mind kept racing about the fact that his eyes were literally gone and that somehow he could still see . He wanted to wake up his parents and tell them about this but he couldn't as they didn't really like him. But still kept him in their house as he paid rent. After waking up the next day he went straight to the mirror to see if what he saw was just a bizarre dream but to his dismay his eyes were still gone. So he did his morning routine he went to his parents to ask them about his problem . As he went downstairs to greet them he noticed that they weren't giving any reaction at all apart from scoffing at him a few times they were behaving as of nothing was wrong . So he told them himself, trying to remain as calm as possible while trembling he said " have you not noticed that my eyes are gone?" His parents were both taken aback. His mother completely ignored him while his step father said " what do you mean your eyes are gone ? They are still there. Have you finally gone insane?" After hearing such an answer he thought that it was all some kind of joke being played at him although he didn't know that who would play such a joke. He thought that his father was lying just to mess with him and he reminded himself that his stepfather had always been like this . Always being happy at his misery. He reminded himself that it is useless to ask his parents anything. So he simply went out to ask someone else. As he walked out he saw a little boy passing by, he stopped him and asked "do you see that my eyes have gone missing?" The boy unlike his parents didn't seem to be taken aback by his question he simply started laughing without answering his question he kept laughing his smile twisting into strange and his voice becoming louder his face distorting into something that didn't seem like a human and his eyes turning into black hollows as toms his laugh kept getting louder and louder changing into various voices
Sometimes that of a child then that of an adult and finally into a screech loud and clear enough to cause a headache . Tom was filled with terror at this sight his heartbeat growing fast and out of control so much so that it felt like his heart was in his throat. As much as he wanted to run or scream or even look away, he couldn't he was terrified to the point of being frozen he kept staring at the boy that didn't seem like a boy at all but some sort of entity that was there just to mess with him .Suddenly the boy moved towards him slowly step by step and at that point someone also patted his shoulder putting him out of his trance he looked behind to see his neighbour William an old man in his 60's using a cane to walk. William asked him if he was feeling okay as he was standing there and doing nothing . Jim pointed to the place where the boy was standing and said that the boy was behaving strangely.The boy had stopped laughing as soon as when William talked to jim and he was just standing there staring at jim as if he was some sort of creature meant to be laughed at. William looked to where jim was pointing and said "There is no boy there" jim was even more shocked. He was terrified a moment ago but right now he felt pure helplessness thinking that this must be a terrifying dream when suddenly the strange entity said " this is no dream this is just your new reality" and then disappearing abruptly .
