Perhaps, Mom and Dad could be compared to Gildarts.

There are not many people in this world who can make Gildarts fail: Zeref and his Shields, and after that, the five dragon gods, or perhaps some overlooked Evil Dragons.
As he expected, Gildarts was indeed severely injured, but he didn't lose a leg or an arm as in the original story. It was an extremely terrifying Red Evil Dragon that could turn into a red mist and severely wound him with a casual blow.
