Toji Fushiguro left.
Although reluctant, he owed Souma Gojo his life.
Using his late first wife's name as collateral, Toji officially resigned from his job as the "Sorcerer Killer."
"What? You're quitting?"
The broker, Shiu Kong, shouted over the phone.
Toji sighed. "I made a promise. Can't go back on it now, can I?"
"Besides, with those three monsters appearing in the jujutsu world now, this industry is probably going to crash soon anyway!"
"Ha? What nonsense are you talking about?"
Toji didn't bother explaining. He just hung up.
He looked up at the sky as a bird flew past.
"Set a good example for the kid, huh..."
...
Suguru Geto played with Playful Cloud, spinning the three-section staff in his hands.
He was paying Souma for this Special Grade tool in installments, and since he hadn't finished paying yet, he certainly wasn't going to let Toji keep it.
"By the way, Brother, your Reverse Cursed Technique can be used on others? Mine only works on myself."
Satoru looked confused. Since Souma had the exact same technique, the effect should be identical.
Geto chuckled, showing off to Satoru. "My Reverse Cursed Technique works on others too, just like Souma's."
"It seems Souma and I are benevolent philanthropists who love helping people, while Satoru is just a selfish brat!"
"Ha? You get a big head just because you finally learned RCT?"
"Right back at you."
Seeing them about to argue again, Souma spoke up helplessly. "Shut up, both of you. The matter with Tengen and Riko Amanai isn't resolved yet!"
Hearing this, the bickering duo quieted down.
"But before that, let's go pay a visit to the Star Religious Group."
Souma's eyes flashed with a cold light.
Before leaving, Toji had told him the meeting location he had arranged with the cult.
Souma had no intention of letting those scumbags off the hook.
...
At that moment, the members of the Star Religious Group were gathered in a small room.
They clasped their hands in prayer, looking incredibly devout. In the center of the room was a stone platform, waist-high, perfectly sized to hold... a human body!
However, as time passed, some people grew impatient. "Where is the Star Plasma Vessel's body? Hasn't Toji Fushiguro arrived yet?"
"He's not coming."
The cultists looked up in shock at the three young men who had suddenly appeared, clearly unaware of what had happened.
Looking at their numb, hypocritical faces, Souma remained expressionless, but a dense, icy killing intent radiated from him.
Satoru stepped forward. "Brother, let me do it. I won't feel any guilt right now."
Geto immediately blocked both of them. "Hey! Souma, Satoru! The mastermind has already fled. Killing these people has no meaning!"
"Meaning? Is that important?"
Satoru's face was dark.
Geto clenched his fist. "Yes... it is important. For a sorcerer."
SPLAT—
Satoru and Geto froze, staring at the scene before them in shock, unable to process it.
In an instant, every single member of the Star Religious Group in the room had been crushed into meat paste.
Blood, brain matter, organs... painted the once-clean floor and walls, turning the room into a living hell.
And Souma, the one who caused it all, didn't even blink.
Satoru opened his mouth. "Brother, you..."
"Hey, Souma! These were ordinary humans!"
Geto was shocked and angry. Souma slaughtering non-sorcerers clearly violated his principles. Moreover, this act would cause trouble for Souma, possibly even getting him labeled a curse user by the higher-ups!
Souma turned to face Satoru and Geto. His expression was more serious than they had ever seen.
"Satoru. Suguru is right. Meaning is important for a sorcerer. But, Suguru, I don't agree with your philosophy."
"Sorcerers should protect non-sorcerers? The strong should protect the weak? Don't make me laugh! If that non-sorcerer is a murderer, will you save him too?"
"No responsibility is taken for granted. Honestly, I don't care if strangers live or die. But if I have to follow a philosophy, it's this..."
"Whether they are sorcerers or non-sorcerers... scum should go to hell to repent!"
Geto was speechless.
Subconsciously, he wanted to argue. But the words wouldn't come out.
Deep inside him, a darker thought began to resonate with Souma's words.
That's right! We sorcerers risk our lives fighting curses to protect these ignorant monkeys? Why?
After a long silence, Satoru broke the tension.
"Eh~ Why so serious, Brother? The problem is solved anyway, right?"
Souma dropped his serious face and patted Geto's shoulder. "Stop spacing out. Let's go."
Geto snapped back to reality and smiled helplessly. "Understood."
Souma and Satoru walked out. Geto followed, but at the last moment, he turned back to look at the blood-red room.
He muttered under his breath:
"Scum should go to hell to repent..."
...
"Um... can I come out now? It's really hot and stuffy in here!"
Masamichi Yaga stopped and looked at the rabbit Cursed Corpse next to him. Riko Amanai's voice was coming from inside.
"Sorry. Time was tight, so I didn't consider comfort when making it."
Misato Kuroi comforted her. "Miss, please endure it a little longer. We don't know if the bad guys are tracking us."
Yaga wiped sweat from his forehead. "There's a safe house not far ahead with powerful barriers. We'll be safe once we get there!"
"Sigh! I don't know what punishment I'll face when this gets out... those three brats really know how to cause trouble for me!"
Just as they were about to move, dozens of figures appeared, blocking the road ahead.
Yaga and Kuroi stopped immediately, instinctively shielding the rabbit Cursed Corpse.
Yaga scanned the group, and his heart sank to the bottom of his stomach. Cold sweat soaked his back.
The people in front of him were all high-ranking officials of Jujutsu High and elders of the Three Great Families!
The leader, Yoshinobu Gakuganji, stepped forward slowly. His cloudy eyes glinted with cunning light.
"Masamichi, why are you here?"
Yaga froze, unsure how to explain.
Gakuganji then looked at Kuroi.
"If I recall correctly, you are the Star Plasma Vessel's caretaker, aren't you? Which means..."
Gakuganji's gaze shifted to the rabbit Cursed Corpse behind them.
"The Star Plasma Vessel is hiding inside that doll, isn't she?"
