In the third room on the second floor, the father sat at his desk, working.
While reviewing documents, he couldn't help but think about his younger son his genius son who was only two years old yet could already speak in full sentences and read basic words.
Outside, in the snow covered yard
"Piggy! Let's make a snowman!"
The younger brother called excitedly. A moment later, the older brother came walking toward him.
"Yes, but after this you need to finish the book you started yesterday."
"But I don't want to," the younger brother replied with a deep frown.
"I don't make the rules," Piggy said calmly. "If you don't want to read, you'll have to talk to Mom."
Osiris froze.
He had made a tactical mistake.
"I think I'll start reading now," he muttered quickly before running back inside.
As soon as he entered, he saw his mother standing in the doorway, arms folded.
"And, Osiris, how was your time outside?" she asked with a smile that clearly meant she wanted every detail.
"It was great," he answered. "But I hope next time Piggy and I can finish the snowman together."
Piggy stepped in behind him. "I hope we'll have more time next time."
Their mother nodded thoughtfully. "Piggy, you should get ready for magic training in the practice room."
Osiris' eyes lit up. "Can I watch?"
"No, Osiris. You still have twenty more pages to read. After that, you may watch the practice lesson."
" But that will take forever!" he exclaimed.
"Then you should start now," she replied with a devilish smile.
Piggy watched as his little brother ran for his life on tiny feet.
"Mom," Piggy said quietly, "don't you think he should relax more? He's only two."
"Maybe," she admitted. "But learning for the future is more important at his age. It's not as if he'll turn twenty and regret not relaxing more or not making friends."
Piggy looked down. "Even if he wanted friends, there's no one his age in this small village."
"Why did you and Father choose to live in Samaden Village?" Piggy asked. "Why not in a bigger village or the Citadel of Roa?"
"Because the king ordered your father to observe everyone crossing from one side of the Red Dragon's Upper Jaw to the other."
"The king? What does the king have to do with Father?"
"Have you never seen your father's scars?" she asked gently.
"Mom… what are scars?"
She paused.
"That's something you don't need to know. Now go train your magic."

As Osiris passed the dining table, he looked at the countless paintings his mother had made of him.
Although he hated sitting still for hours, he liked the final result.
Luckily, she had stopped painting once the house ran out of space. The funny thing was that there was only one painting that included Piggy or Father.
I guess they don't tolerate sitting still as long as I do, he thought.
He reached the bookshelf and stared at the six books neatly arranged.
Six books in this house… that's way too many. I just know Mom is going to make me read all of them.
He grabbed one.
This is only the first book, and it's already boring. Basic pronunciation of the human tongue. Some basic history behind the language. And how to write the characters.
"I already know all of this." He exclaimed bored.
"Alright," he sighed. "Better finish before Piggy's training ends."
As time passed, the world around him faded away. Only the book existed.
Finally.
He placed it back on the shelf and rushed outside toward a separate training building.
When he opened the door, he saw Piggy practicing magic incantations.
All of Osiris' excitement vanished instantly.
Piggy noticed him. "You finished already? That was fast. Want to watch me train?"
"Yes, Piggy… but can't you do something else? Incantations are boring."
"No," Piggy replied seriously. "Magic incantations are as important as every other step in casting a spell."
"Well said, Piggy. That's exactly what every other genius mage would say," came a friendly voice from behind Osiris.
"Father!" Piggy turned around. "Have you finally finished work?"
"Yes, I'm done. How about we stop with pronunciation and actually cast some magic?"
Piggy smiled. "Okay, Father."
"Show me the beginner fire spell you learned from the books."
"Yes, of course."
Piggy straightened his posture and began chanting:
"Let the vast and blessed flame converge at thy command! O raging fire, offer us a blazing gift! Fireball!"
A small fireball formed above his hand.
Osiris stared at it with visible disappointment.
Their father, however, praised Piggy warmly.
"Father," Osiris said, "can you do something better?"
Piggy clenched his fist with killing will. Better? Isn't this good enough?
But their father didn't care.
He assumed Osiris simply wanted to see his strength.
"Very well," he said. "I'll show you an intermediate spell."
He began chanting:
"Let this smoldering flame burn bright with your blessing Flamethrower!"
A raging stream of fire burst forward, tearing through the wall and leaving a smoking hole in the building.
Their father lowered his hand. "Is that good enough?"
Osiris tilted his head. "Don't you have anything stronger?"
"I just made a hole in the building," his father replied slowly, his expression turning dangerous. "And that's not good enough?"
Before Osiris could answer, a sharp voice echoed from behind them.
"What did you just do?"

I hope you guys didn't expect that he is going to learn how to talk in this chapter I hope you don't have anything against the time skip.
If you payd attention you might notice that the fathers incantation for the fireball was shorter in the previous chapter.
Next chapter is going to be more about the brother I think maybe 60/40
How did you find the chapter? What can I improve?
How do you find the name piggy a little funny right.
I hope you can already see the characters personality a little.
