Chapter 35 - Immortal Zombie

"Bang… bang… bang…."

" The sound of a gunshot rang out inside the empty factory.

And Akira, firing bullets from a pistol, stared in awe at the zombie in front of him.

Ten meters away, Akira decisively fired several bullets from the pistol he was holding.

As for the results, Akira discovered that the bullets appeared to only make small wounds on the zombie's outer skin.

Seeing this, Akira had to say that this was truly extraordinary.

"Amazing…this zombie's body seems to have been strengthened, and judging by the small wounds left by the pistol bullets, it doesn't seem to make much of a difference, or in other words, it doesn't have any effect on the zombie.

However, how do we heal this zombie's injuries?" After seeing the results of the shooting, Akira remembered something he didn't understand. The problem lay in the fact that if a normal human were to receive a gunshot wound, as long as it didn't hit a vital organ.

With proper care, they can recover within a certain period of time.

But now, the demon zombie of your level that stood before him was no longer human, but a transformed entity.

"System, how do I heal an injured zombie?" Finally, unable to find an answer, Akira asked the system for an answer.

[The zombie will return to its original state after the host stores it in the space] the system's voice replied.

"Good... this will give me much more confidence, but is there a limit to healing?" Akira asked again.

[There is no limit to healing an injured zombie. As long as the host stores the zombie in the space for one day, the system will automatically heal it.] The system replied, answering Akira's question.

"And if the zombie is severely damaged or destroyed, can it still be restored to its original state?" Akira asked again.

[The space will still be able to heal and restore a severely damaged or even destroyed zombie, as long as the host keeps a piece of its body part] the system replied again.

Hearing this answer, Akira felt as if he had gained new knowledge about something he had never imagined.

Isn't this like giving him an army of immortal zombies, who would never die and would continue to survive even after suffering severe injuries, as long as he kept a part of their body?

"I never thought there would be something so good like this. Let's continue and see how well these zombies can withstand the power of firearms." Akira decided to continue testing the defenses of his zombies.

So, after being satisfied with the pistol bullets, Akira moved on to using long-barreled weapons, followed by handguns, submachine guns, and finally, heavy machine guns.

Seeing the astonishing results, Akira had to admit that the defenses of these zombies, transformed by the demonic power of a certain level, were beyond human comprehension.

If using a pistol would only cause negligible superficial wounds, then the power of a long-barreled weapon was arguably far superior.

And it left a wound several centimeters deep in the zombie's body, but the bullets couldn't penetrate it.

On the other hand, the power of a submachine gun has a greater impact, ultimately causing the zombie's flesh to rip apart.

However, as long as the zombie has legs, it can still seem to move.

And later, when he finally used a hand grenade to blow up the zombie's body, only a large hole appeared in its body.

However, miraculously, the zombie was still able to move, and seeing this made Akira even more enthusiastic.

He then tested the zombie's strength using a submachine gun, and the results were as he had expected: with just a few shots, the zombie's body was destroyed.

There was no sign of the zombie moving; in other words, the zombie's body was successfully incapacitated.

Nevertheless, Akira continued to the final stage of his test, by subjecting the zombie's body to an RPG.

The result, of course, was that the body was crushed to pieces, leaving only small pieces scattered about.

Taking a piece of flesh from the zombie's body Destroyed, Akira remembered the system's answer: as long as he kept a piece of the Zombie's body, the Zombie would recover instantly the next day.

So, Akira decided to see the miracle his space had wrought firsthand. Of course, he could only wait for the next day.

"Honey, is everything done? Is there something I need to tell you?" Akira was halfway through his test.

Saeko's voice, standing guard outside, rang out, informing him.

"What's wrong, honey? Is there something important?" Akira asked hesitantly.

"Yes, honey. If you've finished the test, you should come here immediately and see for yourself what you've caused." Saeko didn't immediately tell Akira what she had done, but instead asked him to come to her place.

And check on the situation outside.

"Okay, honey, I'll be right there," Akira replied, walking to where Saeko was standing guard.

Upon Akira's arrival at Saeko's place, he was shocked to see the scene surrounding the factory.

From his vantage point, Akira could clearly see what had happened that ultimately led to Saiko calling him.

Around the factory area where they were, a dense mass of zombies was visible, trying to enter.

The thousands of zombies appeared to be starving and were desperately trying to enter.

However, the high, sturdy metal gates made it difficult for the zombies to get through.

However, given the current situation, it was highly likely that the gates would eventually collapse under the constant pressure of the zombies.

"This is a truly spectacular sight. I never would have thought that a few small actions of mine would attract so many zombies here," Akira spoke casually to Saiko.

"How can that be a small thing? If you're causing a commotion with the sound of heavy machine guns and bombs," Saiko replied with a hint of mockery.

"I couldn't help but find a good place, so I felt compelled to complete my test of the Zombie abilities created by the space.

And in the end, the results were very satisfying." Not taking offense to Saiko's remarks, he instead told Saeko about the benefits he had gained.

At this, Saiko's eyes brightened, and she asked again.
