Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The Tokyo Police Department is shocked and hires Allen as a consultant for the special operations team

"What we are seeing now is the full combat gear adopted by the Special Mobile Unit of the Riot Police Mobile Force of the Tokyo Police Department."

Inside the first conference room of the Tokyo Police Department, an expert named Okamoto, dressed in a blue suit, stood in front of the projection screen.

He was showcasing the armed capabilities of this elite unit to Superintendent Matsumoto and the senior police officers present.

"The 20 team members are elites selected from prefectures across the country." Okamoto adjusted his glasses and clicked open the patrol footage of the elite unit.

"With a height of 178 cm or more and a weight of 80 kg or more, if anyone's weight drops below 80 kg during the 400-day special training, they will be mandatorily reassigned."

Okamoto switched screens, displaying a series of images to show the helmet's structure.

"The mobile helmet, made of special FRP, according to reports, weighs only one-third of ordinary equipment but has five times the compressive strength."

"All critical parts of the body are also tightly protected by the same compressive material."

"And it is equipped with the latest model of impact projectile launcher, using six-shot spherical steel projectiles, each weighing 800g, with a standard launch speed of 47 meters per second!"

As the demonstration progressed, expert Okamoto became more and more enthusiastic, his emotions growing more agitated.

"You can imagine the power of it."

"It's like being hit by a ball swung by a professional baseball player at close range…"

"Enough!" Superintendent Matsumoto, veins bulging on his forehead, interrupted expert Okamoto's explanation.

The air in the conference room instantly grew heavy. Okamoto's finger froze mid-air, and the entire room was so silent that only breathing could be heard.

"The problem is that we are facing six elites…"

"Yet the cruel fact is that we couldn't even subdue one person!"

"This is Spec's third escape. It's like his own kitchen; he comes and goes as he pleases!"

"Bang!" Matsumoto angrily slammed the table, his shoulders trembling continuously, and his forehead covered in fine beads of sweat.

"Is this what we call the world-renowned Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's detention center?"

Expert Okamoto lowered his head, silently enduring the criticism, not daring to look Matsumoto in the eye.

"Let me see how the Riot Special Mobile Unit was suppressed by Spec!"

"Alright!" Matsumoto nodded quickly, and the equipment display on the screen changed to surveillance footage.

In the footage, six fully armed riot squad members surrounded a tall, massive man in the center of the corridor.

The mobile unit member, praised to the heavens by Matsumoto, had his neck snapped by Spec in just one encounter, ceasing to breathe.

Five mobile unit members, armed with impact projectile launchers, unleashed countless steel balls on Spec, but they had no effect whatsoever.

"Even steel-like concentrated firepower… is ineffective against this guy…" one officer couldn't help but swallow as he watched Spec in the video.

"He's completely unharmed…"

His movements were inhumanly fast, like a flash of lightning, darting between the team members. Each strike took a life.

Within mere seconds, the corridor was left with only bodies scattered on the floor.

The video ended, and the conference room fell into a deathly silence.

Everyone's face showed deep fear. That terrifying physical prowess was not human-like at all; he was more like a monster!

Matsumoto slowly spoke, breaking the heavy atmosphere: "If… this guy comes back again…"

"I don't want to go too far, but let's prepare machine guns for the police…"

"Superintendent! Spec has been found!"

Just then, a police officer burst into the conference room, sweating profusely and panting heavily.

The officer's voice exploded in the silent conference room, and everyone's eyes instantly focused on him.

Matsumoto abruptly stood up, his chair scraping loudly on the floor: "Where is he? Are there any casualties?!"

"No… no!" The officer swallowed, a little nervous under the gaze of so many officers, sweat constantly dripping from his forehead.

"There are no casualties. The location is Central Park. Someone reported being attacked by a large man, suspected to be Spec."

"So we immediately rushed to the scene to confirm his identity. The large man who attacked was confirmed to be Spec, and…"

"He's already unconscious."

"Unconscious?" Matsumoto frowned, walking quickly to the officer.

"What exactly happened? Who did it?"

"Based on the traces at the scene, he should have been knocked out by someone…" The officer's voice grew softer and softer.

"And Spec is very seriously injured… seven ribs are broken, and he has fractures and internal bleeding throughout his body…"

The conference room immediately erupted in an uproar.

Matsumoto's eyes widened suddenly, and the other officers in the conference room also gasped sharply.

"How is this possible?" Matsumoto stood stunned, muttering to himself.

"Are you saying… someone severely injured that monster?"

"Yes… and…" The officer hesitated.

"We have already identified the person who reported it."

"It's… a high school student."

"A high school student?"

"Say that again? A high school student?" Matsumoto's voice was filled with disbelief.

The officer swallowed, sweat constantly dripping from his forehead: "Yes, Superintendent."

"According to school records, his name is Allen, a student who transferred from China to Tokyo Den High School."

"We retrieved surveillance footage from near the park." He took a USB drive from his pocket and handed it to Matsumoto.

Matsumoto inserted the USB drive into the computer, opened the file, and a blurry surveillance image appeared on the screen.

In the footage, a young man in a black training suit was confronting Spec, who was over two meters tall.

The subsequent footage left the entire conference room in stunned silence. The seemingly slender young man was actually able to beat Spec to a pulp, without even shedding a drop of blood!

"This… this is impossible…" Matsumoto's voice trembled, his eyes fixed on the young man on the screen. He gripped the wooden table with both hands, his knuckles turning white from the force.

In the footage, Allen's movements were almost too fast to see; each blow inflicted heavy damage on Spec.

Most shocking of all, when Spec used his signature ultimate technique, the Breathless Barrage, which once shattered the Statue of Liberty in the United States, Allen was not only unharmed but even retaliated with the same moves.

"Is he learning Spec's moves?" An officer's pupils constricted, his eyes filled with disbelief.

Matsumoto suddenly remembered something at this moment. If he recalled correctly, two days ago, Dorian was hospitalized after being beaten by a Shinshinkai member named Allen.

The other officers also remembered this incident, and Matsumoto exchanged a shocked look with the officers in the conference room.

This young man actually treated the terrifying five death row inmates as prey!

"Immediately investigate all information on this Allen!" Matsumoto ordered.

"I want to know everything about him. If there are no adverse records!"

"Hire him at all costs as an advisor for the Tokyo Police Department's Special Operations Unit!"
