Chapter 62 - Chapter 62: Gaining Telekinesis! Meteorite Landing! Z City in Crisis!

His figure instantly vanished from his original spot, reappearing before Hellish Blizzard the next second.

"What?!" Before Hellish Blizzard could react, Allen's hand chop precisely struck her neck, and Hellish Blizzard felt her vision go black and fainted.

"Ding! Psychokinesis evolution conditions met! Evolve now?"

Matsuge and Yama monkey stared dumbfounded at the fallen Hellish Blizzard, momentarily forgetting to move.

"Do you two want a taste too?" Allen shook his hand, revealing a "friendly" smile.

The two immediately shook their heads frantically, fumbling to help up the unconscious Hellish Blizzard, and fled as if for their lives.

"Allen-kun, isn't that a bit much?" Saitama-kun scratched his bald head.

"We missed the special," Saitama-kun's expression was a little disappointed.

"It's fine, if we go now, we should still make it."

"If we don't make it..." A hint of excitement flashed in Allen's eyes.

"If we don't make it, we'll just catch two Monster to eat today." Allen clicked on the panel to select Psychokinesis evolution.

He was just wondering how to quickly evolve Psychokinesis.

"Psychokinesis is evolving, current progress 10% (cannot proceed with the next evolution until the host has fully completed the current evolution)"

The process of Psychokinesis evolution was similar to direct combat; he just felt a slight itch in his head, but nothing else.

As the two were about to go grocery shopping, the sky suddenly darkened.

A colossal shadow enveloped the entire Z-City.

"What is that...?" Allen looked up at the sky.

A meteor was slowly breaking through the atmosphere, dragging a long fiery tail, emitting a deafening roar, and plummeting towards Z-City with destructive pressure.

Allen and Saitama stood in the middle of the street, looking up at the apocalyptic scene.

"Ah, it's a meteor," Saitama-kun scratched his bald head, his tone as calm as if discussing the weather.

Allen narrowed his eyes, feeling the heat wave rushing towards him. Why was this meteor appearing now? Was it a butterfly effect caused by his appearance?

But it shouldn't affect a meteor, should it? Could this meteor be controlled by the so-called god?

"Buzz—!" A piercing alarm blared throughout the city.

The Hero Association's broadcast followed: "Emergency evacuation announcement! Disaster level: Dragon!"

"The situation is extremely critical, please evacuate quickly. There are 65 minutes until the giant meteor strikes. This impact will completely destroy Z-City. Please leave Z-City and seek refuge far away as soon as possible."

The crowds ran in panic, and the streets instantly descended into chaos.

"Run! The meteor is going to fall!"

"Mom! Mom, where are you?"

"Don't push! My child! My child!"

Customers in the supermarket dropped their shopping baskets and rushed madly towards the exit. Shelves were knocked askew, and cashiers didn't even have time to lock their registers, clutching their heads and rushing out the door.

Car horns blared in unison on the roads, drivers honking frantically, but only able to watch as traffic ahead came to a complete standstill.

Some people simply abandoned their cars and fled, not even bothering to close the doors.

In residential buildings, people rushed downstairs, clutching their most important belongings. Some held pets, some dragged suitcases, and many more simply ran for their lives empty-handed.

The entire Z-City was plunged into unprecedented panic, with everyone surging towards the outskirts of the city.

Traffic completely paralyzed, people began to flee on foot. Some fell and were immediately trampled by those behind them.

But more people chose to stand still, to spend these last 65 minutes with Z-City; they no longer wanted to run, they were tired.

At the Hero Association branch, staff were urgently evacuating important documents.

The blonde supervisor wiped his sweat and directed: "Take all the data! Quickly!"

The operator frantically tidied up: "Supervisor, we've contacted Metal Knight and Bang! They said they'll try to intercept!"

On the street, Allen and Saitama stood still, a stark contrast to the panicked crowd.

"Let's go, to the Hero Association branch first." Allen patted Saitama's shoulder, then rushed towards the Z-City Hero Association branch.

Bang stood in the association hall, hands behind his back, gazing up at the increasingly close meteor in the sky.

His expression was unusually grave, his silver hair fluttering in the hot wind.

"Oh? Why haven't you two young men evacuated yet?" Bang heard footsteps and turned to look at Allen and Saitama who had arrived.

"Everyone from the association has already gone to headquarters; this branch is completely empty."

"Old man, you haven't left either, have you?" Allen smiled and came to Bang's side.

"S-Class Rank 3, Bang."

"This crisis is capable of destroying the entire Z-City. They say the meteor's orbit suddenly deviated."

"I'm powerless this time. You two should quickly take your family and friends and run far away." Bang's expression was serious as he pointed at Allen and Saitama.

"Aren't you going to take shelter?" Allen asked.

"I cannot abandon the dojo passed down from my ancestors." He turned his back to the two, silent for a moment.

Bang suddenly turned around, his foot stepping diagonally, two blue lights flashing, and assumed the stance of Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist.

"Do you know Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist?"

"Have they left?" Bang looked at the empty hall.

Bang sighed, standing in the empty Hero Association hall. He looked up out the window; the meteor's shadow already covered more than half the city.

"Those two young men..." Bang shook his head.

"I hope they can evacuate safely."

...At this moment, Allen and Saitama were moving quickly between tall buildings, searching for the spot closest to the meteor.

"Saitama-kun, we have to find a way to stop that meteor." Allen stood on the edge of a tall building, looking up at the increasingly close meteor.

Just then, a mechanical roar came from the sky. Metal Knight's giant robot was flying towards the meteor, launching countless missiles.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Explosions blossomed on the meteor's surface, but the meteor only trembled slightly, continuing its descent.

"As expected, it's useless..." Allen frowned.

"Then I'll give it a try," Saitama-kun suddenly said.

"Wait, Saitama-kun!" Before Allen could finish speaking, Saitama-kun had already leaped up, flying towards the meteor.

He knew that in the original plot, after Saitama-kun shattered the meteor, the scattered fragments still caused devastating damage to Z-City, which also led Saitama-kun to suffer much abuse from ungrateful people.

Allen looked at Saitama's back and gritted his teeth: "I have to do something too!"

He closed his eyes, sensing the Psychokinesis evolving within him. Although it was only 10% complete, he had to try to use it now!

In order to control the meteor fragments that would fall around Z-City after being shattered by Saitama-kun.

"Calm down first," Bang's voice came from behind Allen.

"Your will is starting to waver."

Allen opened his eyes and saw Bang standing behind him, the old man's silver beard fluttering in the hot wind.

"You are still young, there's no need to consider failure now."

"The more crucial the moment, the more relaxed you should be. The outcome won't change; that is the best choice."
