In his spare time, Shane had brainstormed many concepts for applying Naruto jutsu to this new world.
For example, the Chimera Technique (Kimera no Jutsu)—using the caster as a core to absorb other ninjas' power and make it part of oneself.
This technique could fuse bloodline limits. If supernatural creature bloodlines counted as bloodline limits, couldn't he obtain abilities from supernatural creatures outside the Narutosystem?
The Inuzuka clan had heightened senses of smell, hearing, and vision, basically similar to canines. Their secret techniques—Four Legs Technique, Beast Human Clone, Beast Human Martial Arts, Fang Over Fang—would be a perfect match for a werewolf.
The Yamanaka clan's Mind Body Switch Technique could deal with possessed targets.
The Mind Puppet Switch Cursed Seal Technique: attack an enemy via a puppet cursed with the jutsu. As soon as the enemy attacks the puppet, the technique activates, swapping the enemy's consciousness into the puppet while the caster's consciousness enters the enemy's body.
Whether used to counter possession or act as a "curse," the effect should be excellent.
Of course, concepts were just concepts. Even if the logic was sound, without actually knowing these jutsu, he could only stare blankly.
Just like how Shane really wanted to know if a creature like a werewolf could become a Summoned Beast. Without the Summoning Jutsu, he could only imagine.
The essence of the Summoning Jutsu is summoning creatures to assist in battle. Blood summoning. Signing a contract. Making a blood pact. Using blood as a medium to transport the Summoned Beast to the location via space-time ninjutsu.
In other words, Summoned Beasts can actually live in the real world. The jutsu's function is simply to summon them from wherever they are to the caster's side.
There are five known summoning types:
Contract Summoning, Animal Summoning, Ninja Beast Summoning, Item Summoning, and Human Summoning.
Werewolves could follow the Animal Summoning or Ninja Beast Summoning route. Vampires and the like could follow the Human Summoning route, similar to Edo Tensei (Reanimation Jutsu), usually sealed in coffins and summoned as "objects."
Most importantly, besides summoning them for help in critical moments, one could also reverse-engineer it for Reverse Summoning.
If he signed contracts with Summoned Beasts all over the world and cultivated them... one phone call later, Reverse Summoning. In terms of pure distance travel, it was way more effective than other space-time ninjutsu.
The only difficulty lay in how to train the Summoned Beast to perform the Reverse Summoning. That wasn't an easy task.
Thinking a bit too far ahead. Shane didn't know a single one of the jutsu required to test these theories.
So, get stronger, young man!
Olivia, her curiosity satisfied by the story and feeling the buzz of alcohol, went back to her room contentedly to sleep.
Shane opened the system panel.
Points: 9,XXX
Two choices: Lottery, or convert to experience to level up.
Ten thousand experience points to level up. He could easily spend enough tomorrow to cover that.
Ten thousand experience equals ten thousand points, which equals spending one million. Without shadow clones, spending a million would take a week. This was a choice between "now" or "later."
Nothing to agonize over. It was just a difference of a few days. Lottery!

Damn it. Let's just look at the summary at the end. Too stressful.
He went for another seven ten-draws.

Oh, nice!
Ignoring the wholesale batch of shuriken and kunai, the jutsu haul was bountiful this time.
Body Replacement Technique: Though just one of the basic Academy Three, its utility was high. His safety factor in combat just skyrocketed.
Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique: A genjutsu that forces the opponent to see their greatest fear. A psychological strike.
Ninja Tool Throwing Technique: Something Shane desperately needed right now. His throwing skills were tragic; otherwise, he wouldn't have resorted to the "Throw Everything Jutsu." With this, all those tools finally wouldn't just be gathering dust in the system.
System: You're the one gathering dust!
Evil Sealing Method: The main target of Shane's lottery run. He truly felt like the "Emperor of Luck" right now. He would accept no arguments to the contrary.
Finally, Shadow of the Dancing Leaf: A taijutsu move. Rushing at the enemy with extreme speed, kicking them into the air to set up a fatal blow. It could be followed by Primary Lotus or Hidden Lotus. It was essentially a charge and combo starter; the damage itself wasn't high.
Sasuke's Lion Combo and Naruto's Naruto Uzumaki Combo were both derived from it. A very practical opener.
Shane spent some time digesting the newly learned jutsu. He withdrew the shuriken and kunai from the system, summoned two shadow clones, and had them practice throwing and dodging reactions.
And, coincidentally, make some money.
Brooklyn housing prices should be higher than Denver's, right? Since he was here and not staying long, he couldn't just buy one or two units and leave, could he?
Shane didn't remember when the two shadow clones disappeared. The clang-clang sounds went on for a long time before he groggily fell asleep.
9:00 AM.
Shane summoned two fresh shadow clones to stay in the room. He and Olivia left the hotel to continue exploring this unfamiliar city.
Walking, stopping, shopping. Before they knew it, it was afternoon. Most of the shopping loot had been sent back to the hotel; they were only carrying a few bags, traveling relatively light.
"I'm starving." Olivia sat on a bench in the pedestrian street, rubbing her sore legs, and grumbled, "You can shop way too much. Next time I come out with you, if I wear heels again, I'll..."
"Change shoes?"
Shane lifted his foot and wiggled the sneaker he was wearing.
"..."
Olivia apparently hadn't expected that option. Changing shoes was impossible; she couldn't wear Shane's size. But her mood improved, and her minor complaint vanished instantly.
