Chapter 146 - Chapter 145

[Jay's POV]

The transition from the noisy, crowded foyer to the absolute silence of our bedroom was like a system upgrade—clean, sharp, and immediate. The moment the lock clicked into place, the "Hubby" persona Keifer had maintained for the family vanished, replaced by the raw, focused intensity of the man who had claimed me in Italy.

He didn't set me down. He carried me toward the center of the room, his eyes locked on mine with a 1,000% possessive stare that made my breath hitch in my throat.

"The squad is gone, Jay," he rasped, his voice dropping into that deep, gravelly register that signaled the end of my self-control. "The family is asleep. There are no more variables. No more distractions."

The Desk Incident

He didn't make it to the bed. Instead, he cleared a path with one arm, sweeping a stack of "Urgent" folders off the mahogany desk with a single, careless motion. He sat me down on the edge of the cool wood, stepping between my knees so that our bodies were fused together.

"Analysis, Wiefy?" he whispered, his hands sliding up my thighs, his palms burning through the thin fabric of my dress. "The 'Glow' is currently saturating the room. I think we need to discharge the excess energy."

"Keifer..." I gasped, my fingers tangling in the hair at the nape of his neck. "Your documents... the merger..."

"The only merger I care about tonight is this one," he groaned, his lips crashing onto mine in a kiss that tasted of hunger and four days of bottled-up tension.

The 100% Synchronization

It was faster and more frantic than the slow mornings in Ravello. It was the heat of the city, the adrenaline of being back, and the sheer need to prove that the distance of the last few hours hadn't changed a thing.

He stripped away my clothes with a clinical efficiency that quickly turned into a desperate, tactile worship. When his skin finally met mine, the "Glow" hit a frequency so high it felt like the air in the room was vibrating.

"Say it," he commanded, his hands gripping my waist, his eyes dark and wild in the moonlight. "Tell me whose system you belong to."

"Yours," I sobbed out, my head falling back as he marked the skin of my shoulder with a sharp, possessive bite. "Always yours, Hubby."

The desk creaked under the weight of his passion, the cold mahogany a sharp contrast to the furnace of his body. Every movement was a high-speed data transfer, a physical dialogue that didn't need words. We moved in a perfect, rhythmic loop, the silence of the mansion shattered only by the sound of our ragged breathing and the soft, repetitive thud of his heart against mine.

The Afterburn

When the peak finally came, it was like a total system override. My vision went white, and for a few seconds, I forgot how to breathe. Keifer collapsed against me, his face buried in my neck, his entire body trembling with the aftershocks of the "integration."

We stayed there for a long time, tangled together on the desk amidst the scattered remains of his business empire. The moon shifted across the floor, and the "Glow" slowly settled into a steady, peaceful hum.

"System status?" Keifer managed to ask, his voice a low, satisfied rumble.

"Permanently... modified," I whispered, my arms still wrapped tightly around his neck.

He pulled back just enough to look at me, a soft, victorious smile playing on his lips. He reached out, tucking a stray hair behind my ear.

"Good. Because I've decided to cancel all my meetings for tomorrow," he murmured, picking me up to finally carry me toward the bed. "The Wiefy-Hubby Constant requires a full twenty-four hours of maintenance."
