Chapter 269 - keifer vs 8th month bump

The "CEO Briefing": Keifer vs. The 8th-Month Bump

[Jay's POV]

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, or as quiet as it gets when you're carrying two "Powerhouse" heirs. I was reclined on the massive sofa in the sunroom, my 8th-month bump acting as a natural table for my bowl of fruit.

Keifer was kneeling on the floor in front of me. He wasn't looking at me; he was looking directly at my stomach with the same intensity he uses to look at quarterly fiscal reports.

The "Mandatory Briefing": [Keifer's POV]

I leaned in close, my voice dropping to a low, authoritative baritone.

"Alexander. Aurora. Listen to me," I murmured, tapping a finger gently on the 'Primary Target' (the bump). "The 'Delivery Date' is approaching. I've reviewed the 'Launch Logistics'. Alexander, you are currently in the 'Lead Position'. I expect a smooth exit. No 'Glitching'. No 'Last-Minute Delays'. Aurora, you are the 'Secondary Support'. Ensure the 'Perimeter' is clear for your brother, then follow at 1,000% efficiency."

[Jay's POV]

"Keifer," I giggled, running my fingers through his hair. "They're babies, not a merger. You can't 'Schedule' their birth like a board meeting."

"I am 'Managing Expectations', Jay," he said, dead serious. Suddenly, Alexander gave a massive kick right against Keifer's cheek. Keifer blinked, his eyes widening. "He just 'Negotiated' back. That was an aggressive 'Counter-Offer'."

The "Teasing" Protocol: [Author's POV]

Bridget and Rina walked in just in time to catch the CEO of Watson International arguing with a 7-pound fetus.

"Oh, look at that," Bridget cackled, leaning against the doorframe. "The 'Ice King' is getting bullied by someone who can't even hold their own head up yet. Felix, come look at this 'Security Breach'!"

Rina smiled softly, clutching her journal. "I think it's sweet. He's 'Syncing' with their personalities. Although, Keifer, the 'Tone' you're using is a bit... 'Corporate'."

Keifer stood up, smoothing out his shirt and regaining his "Alpha" composure. "I am establishing a 'Hierarchy', Rina. Something you should probably start doing with Keigan. I saw him trying to 'Beta-Test' a smart-diaper on a teddy bear this morning. He looked... compromised."

The "Counter-Strike": [Bridget's POV]

"Leave Keigan alone!" Rina blushed, her engagement ring sparkling. "He just wants to be 'Data-Ready'."

"Data-Ready?" Bridget laughed. "Rina, honey, the Watsons don't do 'Ready'. They do 'Overkill'. Yesterday, I caught Keifer 'Background-Checking' the kindergarten teacher for a school the twins won't attend for five years. He told me her 'Social Media Metadata' was 'Suspiciously Wholesome'."

"It was suspicious," Keifer growled, crossing his arms. "No one is that happy without a 'Hidden File'."

"And Rina," I (Jay) chimed in, "don't think you're safe. I heard Bridget telling Felix that if the babies don't have a 'Tactical Sleep Schedule' by week two, she's going to 'Section-Off' the nursery with yellow caution tape."

The Final Verdict: [Jay's POV]

"1,000%," Bridget agreed, winking at me. "But at least I'm not the one whispering 'Hostile Takeover' strategies to a belly, Keifer."

Keifer looked at my bump, then back at the girls, his lips twitching into a rare, smug smirk. "The 'Watsons' start young. If Alexander doesn't know how to 'Identify a Threat' by his first birthday, I've failed as a 'System Administrator'."

I sighed, patting my stomach as both twins started "Acrobatics" again. "Do you hear that, babies? Your Auntie Bridget wants you to be soldiers, your Auntie Rina wants you to be poets, and your Daddy wants you to be CEOs. I just want you to 'Uninstall' yourselves from my ribs so I can finally see my feet again!"
