At Sweet Savor, Holly kept her eyes on Eva since the opening. She had noticed the little limp she tried to hide, the way she stood as if trying to avoid putting pressure on specific parts of her body, and that fake smile she gave whenever she was asked if she was alright.
She had ignored it since morning because Eva kept on brushing aside, but she couldn't any longer. It has become too obvious, and it needs to be addressed. She was in charge of monitoring Eva until she adjusted into her work and it was her responsibility.
"If you are not well, you should've said so," Holly said, crossing her arms on her chest.
Her words drew the attention of a nearby waiter whose brows furrowed but said nothing.
Eva paused, pursed her lips, and looked away. "I'm fine. I won't die from this anyway."
Holly closed the distance, and before Eva could step back, her hand was already on Eva's forehead. "Your temperature is high, Eva. Take a break and rest while you can…"
