The car sped through the rain.
Water splashed across the windshield.
Visibility low.

"They're still behind us," Meher said, looking back.

Two black cars now.

"Hold on," he said.
The car took a sudden narrow lane.

"They're trying to cut us off," Meher said.

"Let them try."

Almost a skid—
But he controlled it.
Rain got heavier.
Road slippery.
Suddenly—
A car appeared ahead.
Blocking the road.
"Damn!" Rishan hit the brakes.
The car stopped inches away.

The other car was closing in.
Trap.
Meher's heart raced.
"What do we do?!"
Rishan's eyes moved quickly.
Thinking.
Calculating.
Then—
Reverse.
He slammed the gear.
The car shot backward—
Just before the car behind could block them.
They turned again—
Barely escaping.
"That was close…" Meher whispered.
Rishan didn't reply.
Focused.
After a few more turns—
The cars behind disappeared.
Silence.
Only rain.
Meher slowly looked back.
"They're gone…"
Rishan finally relaxed a little.
"For now."
A pause.
"Where are we going?" Meher asked.

"To a place they won't expect."

"Where?"
