Chapter 7 - Adna's!

A great silence emerged. No one made a statement. Cloud eyes opened wide and muttered a word silently. Mera woke up instantly. She stared at the chaos then went back to rest instantly. Moonlight was indeed the strange one, his eyes opened wide and he turned to Great Uncle.

"Calm down, all of you." said Great Uncle calmly.

They all turned to Great Uncle.

"Don't fear. This is the answer to your question, Cloud. This bad land is proof that a child Adna is more terrifying than an average hero."

"But…" Cloud paused.

"I know what you're thinking. This isn't the strength of an average hero. In fact it is nowhere near the weakest hero. However, this is the best example for your age. Right now, this is the time for me to tell you your—

"Moonlight, Cloud!"

Febia invaded.

"WHA…" All said in unison.

What's she doing here? She observed the entire area, reacting faster than she ever did before. Her face screamed confusion, worry and Fear.

Febia rushed over to Moonlight, "Are you okay?" Then to Cloud, "Is there any scratch?" She investigated them thoroughly. From their hair to their foot and after a long search, she breathed a sigh of relief.

Moonlight watched her; he did not move. Cloud face turned red as he tried to hide his face. Mera turned aside. Great Uncle looked to be hiding a laugh so great, with his hands.

"HahaaahHAAHAHA…" he burst out, letting his voice echo through the space. "Febia please stop. Look again. Hehe. Nothing's wrong." He cleaned an imaginary tear off his eyes.

"What do you mean, nothing's wrong? Do you not see this land with rocks?" She ranted, pointing at their left. "I have no idea what you Adna's do but, if you endanger the life of these children, you will gain the full brunt of it. And also, how…"

Great Uncle closed her mouth, "See…" turning her eyes towards the supposed deserted land.

"Huh, what, there was something here? Everything here was destroyed, what's happening?" Febia spoke confused.

"See everything's okay. Now, please leave." He said as he dragged Febia back to the door.

All stayed quiet. Their brain trying to process what was happening. One thing ringed in Moonlight, 'The Adna's are dangerous.' Cloud returned back to reality and murmured quietly.

"Whew, she's gone. Now we can continue." Great Uncle continued, disregarding the change. "Where did I stop? Let me start here… you have seen just how dangerous you all are."

They all faced him seriously. Even Mera woke up.

With a wave a Moonlight hand, a crater was formed, creating a land devoid of green and full of rock pebbles, scattered hardened sand and rocks. Febia rushed in but somehow, everything was reverted back. I wonder why?

"Sir." Cloud raised his hand. "How did you do that?"

Great Uncle gave a grin, he replied. "Do… what?"

"The thing we saw where is it. Or is this an illusion?" Cloud added.

"Illusion…You've been reading too many books."

"Trust me, I only read the important ones. So, what happened? Tell me."

"Oh, right. Everyone watch me. I'm about to show you something important." He went to the formerly destroyed land. "I said, watch me."

"Don't dodge the question!" Cloud screamed.

"Shush…watch me and don't complain."

"You old man!" his blood boiled but something stopped him. "Fair game, you win."

Moonlight watched both. He said nothing as he went with the flow. Mera went back to sleeping.

"Is sleeping the only thing you can do?" Moonlight asked, his words directed to Mera.

"Is reading, shutting yourself up and sleeping in the library the only thing you can do?" She shot back hard.

Moonlight faced Cloud. This is why he doesn't speak to others. He has no way of replying.

"Watch me closely!" said Great Uncle as he repositioned himself.

He gave a few stretches, lighting his hands, legs and feet, but nothing changed, like he never needed it. He looks up to the sky and then to the ground. He hummed silently.

Energy formed in his hand and light was created, hence a sword came forth.

"This is it." Cloud said in anticipation.

This gained Moonlight interest and he drew closer attention. Mera however was still in rest.

Great Uncle twists his body in motion. The blade in his hand moves several positions in one spot. He moved with grace, precision and unwavering focus. However, his eyes said differently, they screamed neutrality.

The sun at noon poured on his body beautifully, with each movement. The ground below felt no force; yet it was attacked. The beautiful cut grass became more arranged and orderly than before.

Cloud stared at an accomplished goal. Mera rested and Moonlight eyes were weak. They closed and open, over and over. His mind trying to keep his body awake, unfortunately, his body did not obey.

Moonlight desired to sleep but the situation did not accept this. Eventually, he closed his eyes and fell into a presumed sleep.

At this moment Great Uncle murmured, "That sure worked fast. Nonetheless, they will remember…"
