Chapter 43 - Ch 43- Everyone

Mahito looked at the 'arrogant' Jogo with a hint of amusement and couldn't help but complain.

"Seriously, now that your strength has increased, your arrogant attitude has returned as well?"

Although Dagon, who possessed the water attribute, wouldn't die from such temperatures, the dry air still made him somewhat uncomfortable, causing him to quietly step backward.

Hanami, with their plant attribute, also felt uneasy in the scorching heat and took the same approach as Dagon, quietly backing away.

Jogo didn't pay much attention to Mahito's words and asked directly, "What's the big deal? Why did you suddenly tell me to stop? Mount Fuji's volume is massive, and detonating it takes quite a while, but it's almost finished. Why are you telling me to pause at this critical moment!?"

Despite Jogo's immense dissatisfaction, he still followed Mahito's instructions and ceased the work of continuing to detonate Mount Fuji.

Compared to Mahito, Jogo personally felt the power boost brought by Mount Fuji's influence, so he understood Mahito's intentions even less.

Mahito explained patiently, "Don't get overconfident. If you accidentally get caught in that guy's Domain, 'Limitless Void', even if you're stronger than you are now, you'll be nothing more than a sandbag at his mercy."

Although the Jogo of this timeline hadn't experienced Limitless Void, Mahito should have informed them about it beforehand.

Jogo recalled how Satoru Gojo had won using only his Cursed Technique against Jogo's own Domain Expansion, 'Coffin of the Iron Mountain', followed by his Maximum Technique: Meteor. He began to believe Mahito's words.

No matter how strong a Cursed Technique was, there was ultimately a massive gap between it and a Domain.

However, having regained his strength, Jogo instinctively didn't want to be as 'weak' as before and continued to test the waters with a firm tone.

"Are you serious... Even though I'm already this strong, it's still not enough?"

Mahito nodded seriously and explained to Jogo.

"Before I told you to stop and come back, I had just fought him. If it weren't for the temporary buff from 'Black Flash', I truly wouldn't have been able to do anything to him."

"The temporary buff from 'Black Flash'? What is that?"

Jogo looked completely bewildered. Not only had he never seen the temporary buff from Black Flash, it was a question whether he had even encountered a Jujutsu Sorcerer capable of using Black Flash more than a few times. Furthermore, given the massive chasm in strength between them, the opponent would never have had the chance to land a Black Flash anyway.

Therefore, Jogo's lack of knowledge regarding Black Flash was perfectly reasonable.

Mahito thought for a moment. If he wanted to explain Black Flash to Jogo, it would be better to demonstrate with an actual example rather than describing it with words.

"?"

Under Jogo's puzzled gaze, Mahito walked up to him, raised his hand, and threw a punch at Jogo's face.

Unfortunately, although Mahito's punch was serious, it did not trigger the Black Flash effect.

Since it was a serious strike from Mahito, a thin trail of blood leaked from the corner of the empowered Jogo's mouth.

Suppressing his anger, Jogo questioned Mahito.

"You'd better give me a reason! Otherwise, I'll kill you!"

Of course, Jogo's threat to kill him was just a figure of speech to express his anger. He wouldn't actually kill Mahito; at most, he would give him a beating to vent his frustration.

Mahito immediately raised his hands in a standard French military salute and explained.

"Sorry, sorry! I just wanted to demonstrate 'Black Flash' so it's easier for you all to understand. Unluckily, I failed just now. Set up your defense and let me try one more time."

Skeptical, Jogo circulated his Cursed Energy to strengthen his physical defense. Mahito swung his fist again. This time, accompanied by the emergence of black lightning, a 'Black Flash' slammed heavily into Jogo's chest.

The powerful force sent Jogo, who was already prepared with his defense, flying backward from the single punch.

However, landing this 'Black Flash' didn't make Mahito particularly happy.

While it would have been a hassle to explain to Jogo again if he had failed to land a Black Flash this time, the fact that a single Black Flash strike was enough to damage the current Jogo meant that Mahito's plan to use his companions to farm Black Flashes was ruined.

No matter how strong Jogo became, as long as Black Flash could cause him substantial damage, repeatedly farming it would result in an accumulation of injuries. The gains would not outweigh the costs.

However, before Jogo could grit his teeth in anger, Mahito took the lead to continue his explanation.

"Do you feel it? After landing a 'Black Flash', my body has undergone a change."

"Is that so?"

At this moment, Jogo spoke those words through gritted teeth, his fists trembling. He really wanted to punch Mahito but had to restrain himself.

Based on his understanding of Jogo, Mahito decisively continued his explanation.

"At that time, I encountered a sandbag Jujutsu Sorcerer. In the battle against him, I landed over twenty consecutive 'Black Flashes'. Only with such stacked buffs was I barely able to suppress Satoru Gojo within the time limit."

"Wait, over twenty times? Was that a Jujutsu Sorcerer you were hitting?"

Jogo widened his single eye in disbelief, his right hand touching the wound on his abdomen that was currently healing. He didn't believe any Jujutsu Sorcerer could survive twenty 'Black Flashes' of that magnitude. Even Satoru Gojo would be pounded into meat paste! You've got to be kidding me!

"He was indeed a Jujutsu Sorcerer, just much more durable than the average one."

"No, even with all that, you still couldn't take down Satoru Gojo? Then what are we supposed to do?!" Jogo grew a bit anxious because of Mahito, mistakenly interpreting it as them having no hope left.

"I couldn't do it alone, but we aren't alone. Besides, letting you temporarily stop the eruption of Mount Fuji wasn't just for the sake of Satoru Gojo."

"What do you mean?" Jogo was a bit dazed by the explanation.

Mahito showed a cunning smile and said seriously, "When the promised day arrives, it won't just end with sealing Satoru Gojo. Our enemies are everyone, including Geto. That guy has lived for a thousand years, after all; he might not be so easy to deal with. Plus, unexpected situations might arise. It's always better to have as many trump cards as possible."
