His injured shoulder was proving to be a nuisance. He did change from dagger to a shield, changing his approach to defence but my shoulder was lacking behind the speed at which fake Adam was attacking. His valnurable side was getting more and more wounded. Amelia was taking too long, he couldn't have held out for much longer. He abandoned the shield and ran backwards. In front of him, Amelia was fighting the fake one. Due to his attack, the fake Amelia was also struggling, much more than him but her defense was proving to be difficult to penetrate. Where ever the strike was about to come, she would put a shield in front, after the attack she would reduce the size of shield for easy maneuverability, that's how she was defending Amelia's attacks. The only problem fake Amelia had was her ribcage that was open. She had freezed the spot to stop the loss of blood. The only way was for real Amelia to land a fatal strike. Amelia was trying but she was not fast and skilled enough. Adam started running towards them. He sensed danger and pressed hard on his left foot while running backwards thus changing straight movement to zigzag and done right so cuz the next moment a dagger was inside his left shoulder that was aimed at his heart. He groaned in pain but continued running. His pain subsided and the gold hue around him turned brighter. Adam knew that feeling. It was of adrenaline release, it had also got something to do with his ability, not sure what but something did change. His focus enhanced, and speed increased. He could feel his whole body filled with energy. He sprinted towards the Amelia couple. He was faster and stronger much more than before. He started gaining distance on fake Adam giving him a lot of lead. Adam was upon fake Amelia in a minute. Fake Amelia saw Adam coming from afar, she was ready for him as well. Adam jumped before 10 meters and glided through the air. He had dropped the dagger and made a fist of his hand. Adam loaded his fist mid air, his momentum took him directly to fake Amelia. She placed her shield right in front. Adam strike the shield with his fist. A loud bang produced. Amelia was pushed back several feet. Crack appeared on her massive shield. Adam didn't stopped for an instance, as soon as he landed on the ground he moved towards fake Amelia and stuck with his other fist. Fake Amelia again placed her shield in front. This time bang sound of the fist broke her shield into pieces. The real Amelia who was already fighting the fake one got her chance to strike. She already had checked the position of fake Adam. He was still behind. Amelia turned ber focus on fake Amelia and at the same time, the shield broke. Both Amelia and Adam moved in to strike fake Amelia. She produced another shield in an instant but even with that she could only cover her one angle. All happened in an instant. Fake Amelia didn't have the time to ponder. She placed her shield in front of Amelia saving her self from a dagger attack towards her heart. At the same time she felt a mountain of pain in her gut by Adam's fist. She cried in pain. Shield dropped from her hand. Adam struck his other fist right on her face. She lost her focus, darkness came creeping in, she became unconscious. Adam's fist knocked her out. Adam didn't waste a second. He knew the position of fake Adam, when he was fighting Amelia. His senses were that much heightened. He picked up the shield of fake Amelia and turned around to face his previous opponent. He saw the fake Adam doing exactly same stunt, gliding in air with his fist loaded. Adam shifted his shield towards the left hand and loaded his own fist as well. The next instant, a loud bang sound was produced as both fists struck each other. Adam was dragged back a couple of meters, he didn't sustain any injury. The fake Adam landed on the ground and moved towards Adam but slipped. He looked towards Amelia who turned his path icy. Fake Adam jumped to the side but this time he was met with a shield. Adam used shield to attack and hit him on the right side. He fell to his left and got dragged meters back due to the impact of the shield. Adam asked Amelia for the daggers which she gave him the next instant. Adam threw the daggers towards the fake Adam but he rolled on the ground dodging most of daggers by inch. Only one made it towards the target that also on the shoulder. Now both the Adams were equally injured. Adam continued his barrage of attack by throwing daggers of ice produced by Amelia at a fascinating rate. Fake Adam was douging each and every one, his eyes also turned golden and hue around him increased. He started douging the daggers with ease. Adam could tell that it's bad news. Adam left the previous strategy and attacked him head on. Fake Adam picked up the dagger from the ground and both started to go at each others throat. They started barrage of strikes at each other. It was so fast that Amelia could not follow their moment but due to their fast blows against eachother, their positions seemed to be still which means she could still attack the fake one. She went around and got to the back of fake Adam. She put her hand on the ground and make the ground icy just where the fake Adam was fighting. She was very precise as real Adam was very close to the fake one and both were moving as well not much but still moving. In the end her control and precision paid off. Adam multiple strikes got connected at the same time. Fake adam fell at his back. Adam struck both of his daagers on his feets and moved towards Amelia. She saw him and asked
" What, why didn't you kill him "
" Cuz he would have come for you next and taken you with him "
" Can he self distruct "
" No he can't, but he would have definitely attacked you, throwing away all his defences. It would have given me a free strike but he would have gotten you. "
