Helena realized much sooner than she is happy with Nicholas proposal. She realized that the Viscount's feelings were reciprocated.

Following the announcement of the betrothal at Lady Kenwood's ball, she had barely a chance to breathe between all the congratulations greetings and questions on how she snatched a man like the Viscount.

She did not have time to process that in a couple of weeks she would be married to Nicholas.

"You look nervous." Lady Beaumont said as she entered her room with a cup of milk early in the morning.

"Well, the greetings from everyone are making me quite nervous." She said with a smile, collecting the cup from her.

"There is nothing to be nervous about. I am sure or at least the Viscount loves you." She said

"That isn't helping." She replied with a nervous laugh.

"Well what did he say at the ball last night aside from asking you to marry him.?" She asked as she sit on her bed directly beside her.

"He told me he loves me."

"And that is a bad thing how?" She asked in confusion.

"I am scared," she said holding her hands. "I know about his sister's issue in her marriage and I have seen what you've gone through. I do not want to go through that." She said nervously.

"It might seem hard to do," her mother begin. "But you have to trust and believe in him. He has not done anything to make you feel as though he will act in such manner. It is for the best if you talk it through with him and believe in him." Her mother explained.

"Marriage is all about trust and if that trust is broken, it will not be easy to fix. I am sure you and the Viscount will figure it out." She added.

"Thank you." Helena said sweetly.

"You're welcome." She said as she stood up. "Get ready for the engagement breakfast that Lady Morribel has arranged for the two of you." She said as she head out.

The engagement breakfast that Lady Morribel put together was definitely not a small one, the only thing that was small about the breakfast was the amount of people gathered at the Harrington's estate.

Lady Morribel, the Beaumont's family and the Harrington siblings. Nicholas has written a letter about his engagement to his mother—Lady Harrington upon his arrival from the ball the previous night and it was immediately sent to her.

The entire family was happy about the engagement with Lucia Halloway first response to it being "Took him long enough."

"Thank you for giving my brother a chance." Amelia said as she stood beside her in the large family room.

"I think it should be me thanking your brother for being patient enough with me." Helena said with a smile.

"Although I must say, I did not realize that he will act as fast as he did." She said staring at her younger brother who is conversing with Lady Morribel and Lady Beaumont. "I am happy I gave him the push he needed." She said with a smile.

Helena could not help but ask, "Do you think I will regret it?" She asked as she stare at the man who will soon be her husband.

"That's a question only you can answer." She said as she turned to her. "Look back at how your conversations with him has been. Was he patient enough for you?. Did he do anything to make you believe that he isn't the right one.?" She said frankly. "When you've given it a thorough thought, then the answer will come back to you."

Helena looked back at the man, she thought back about the time when she had bravely told him about being a bad dancer and unlike the rest of the men she knew, he had laughed about it and made her feel comfortable. When he had taught her how to manage her late father's estate, he had made sure she understood every little detail and gave her a thorough explanation without getting angry at her.

When he was angry about the fact that she always pulled away but had calmly made his thought known without showing his anger.

When he had openly showed his emtions in his study unlike the men of the Ton...

She is stupid....

She loves the man.

Helena love Nicholas Harrington.

She could not stop laughing at the thought.

"A penny for your thoughts " Hazel said as she walk towards her.

"I was just admiring how handsome your brother look." She admitted.

"Ewww...." The two sisters said out loud forcing the attention in the room towards them to which she smiled nervously.

"That's disgusting." Hazel said while crunching her nose.

"Never say that when we are around." Amelia said before heading towards her children.

"But he is handsome." Helena countered.

"Well to you yes," Hazel said as she stare at him. "To us, he is the most ugly being in the entire world." She said with a smile.

"I still think I am right." Helena said as he walk towards her.

"No, you are just blinded by love." Hazel said before leaving the two love-birds.

"Did she say anything against me?" Nicholas asked as he smiled at her.

"I told her how handsome you looked but she is of a contrary opinion." Helena truthfully said to which he groaned.

"Let's get out of here." He said as he lead her out of the room into his study.

"What is wrong?" She asked in confusion she asked as he lead her inside and locked the door.

She was unable to finish what she wanted to say before he crashed his lips onto hers. She tried to move away but he caught up to her when her back hit the desk, he raised her up and placed her on it. He crashed his lips into hers once more.

He felt her gasp into his mouth, but as he deepened the kiss, he couldn't help but trace her body with his hands.

Everything about her felt perfect with him.

When he felt a little bit of resistance from her, he moved from her lips to her ear, nibbling on her lobe quite softly. He moved carefully to her neck leaving traces of him right there. Claiming her right there.

"Do you like this?" He whispered before resuming back to his duty. Her mind was all over the place unable to focus on his question but rather at his actions.

"Do you like this?" He repeated and he nodded immediately.

"Good, because I would hate if you did not." He said before his hands found her breast, his hands quickly got to work fondling the strap to her corset without looking, getting it undone.

"Why?" She asked panting heavily.

"Because I love leaving my marks all over you." He said with her exposed to him.

She is perfect.

And most importantly, she is his.

His mouth found one of her breasts and Helena immediately covered her mouth in an attempt to silence the moans.

"Do not hold it in." He said as he look up to her. "I want to hear your voice when I make you feel good." He said before getting to work.

"Wait..."she called out making him turn to listen to her. "I love you." She said forcing a chuckle out of him.

"I sure hope so considering the fact that we are to get married in two weeks' time." He said as he caress her cheeks. "I love you more." He reassured before pulling her closer to him. And in that moment whatever doubts that Helena harbored vanished, he kissed her with reassurance that he loved her.

It was all pure desire, his tongue pushed against her lips, and she welcomed him with an open invitation. He did not hold back, his mouth ravaged her part of her.

He was claiming her in any way that he could.

He released her mouth to trace her cheeks and then moved towards her neck, her head fell back as her eyes closed, savoring his touch and love.

Her head tilted in order to give him more access to her throat and at the same time, his hands starting working at the closure of her gown. They slipped and he shifted her undergarments. His hand stilled for a moment, her eyes opened confused on why he had stopped.

"Do you trust me?" He simply asked to which she nodded.

"I need you to answer me, Helena." He said and the yes flew out almost immediately.

He slip in one finer gently while taking in her beauty as her breath halted, her eyes a little teary at the invasion of his finger. He simply stay still waiting for her to get comfortable and the moment he noticed she is okay. He pumped in and out before adding another finger which lead to a gasp from her.

Her pleasure was cut shut with a knock to the door.

"Lady Morribel said for you not to spoil Helena before you are married." Hazel screamed out for all to hear. "Not that I understand a bit of it." She mumbled to herself.

"Give us a minute." Nicholas called out as he assisted Helena from the desk.

"How do I look?" She asked as he helped her with her dress.

"Perfect." Came his response. "I wanted to give you this before you made me think about something else" he said bringing out something from his pocket without taking his eyes off of her face, and pulled out a small jewelery box. "I must apologize for being so delayed in presenting you with a betrothal ring," he murmured, handing it to her. "I wanted it to be perfect before presenting it to you."

‎Helena look at the purple box before flipping it open. Inside is a rather simple yet exquisite gold ring, adorned with diamond.

‎"It is a Harrington heirloom passed down. There are others, but I thought you'd like this one best."

‎"It is perfect," Helena said as she couldn't seem to take her eyes off the ring.

‎He reached out and took the ring out of the box to which he held out her hand and he slip the ring onto her finger.

‎ "It is more than perfect." she said before he kissed her one final time.

Nicholas took one more look at her to confirm if she is alright before opening the door to Hazel.

"What could you two be possibly doing locked in there?" She asked in confusion.

"None of your business." Nicholas said cutting her off.

The two head into the drawing room where the rest of the family is staying before Hiliary quickly draw Helena to herself.

"Mother thinks I should give Lord Sinclair a chance." She said in fright.

"That man who talk to horses?" Helena asked to which Felicity laughed.

"The very man," Hilary whispered. "I do not like the man."

"You might," she said sweetly. "Just like I did with Nicholas." She said.

"Oh please" she said as she roll her eyes. "Acting love-sick with me isn't going to do anything. I do not like anything about the man and I will do."

"Have you told Mother that?" Helena asked as she glanced at their mother who is talking to Amelia and Lady Morribel.

"Not yet."

"Good luck in that." She said with a smile.
