Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: Collision Of Hearts

Chapter 88: Collision of Hearts

(Jay Jay's POV)

The house was silent.

Too silent.

Every creak of the floor, every distant sound, felt amplified.

I could hear my own heartbeat, rapid, uneven, loud enough to betray the calm I tried to hold.

Keifer sat across from me, his usual smirk gone.

Gone replaced by something I couldn't quite place.

Something heavy.

Something that wrapped itself around me like a storm waiting to break.

"Jay…" he whispered.

The word alone made my chest tighten.

I looked up.

His eyes were storm clouds, dark and swirling, dangerous, yet impossible to look away from.

"You've been quiet all day," he said.

I shrugged, trying to look casual.

But he saw through it. Always.

"You're planning something," he stated, not asked.

My pulse jumped.

"How did you—" I started, but he cut me off with a look.

"Don't try to hide it from me. You can't. Not when I'm this close."

Close.

Too close.

I felt the heat from his body even across the couch.

The air between us was charged.

Heavy.

Like the calm before a storm.

I wanted to tease him.

I wanted to push him just a little.

Because that was my style.

"Maybe I am," I admitted, letting a hint of a smile curl on my lips.

He didn't move.

Just stared.

And in that stare, I could feel the weight of every unspoken word.

Every unshared thought.

Every memory we'd made.

Every kiss we'd stolen.

Every fight we'd survived.

And I realized then…

He was dangerous.

Not because he would hurt me.

But because he made me feel everything at once.

Keifer rose suddenly, his movement swift, a predator's precision.

I caught my breath.

"Jay," he said, his voice low, deep, vibrating in the space between us, "do you know what happens when you play with fire?"

I smirked, a little, but my body betrayed me.

I was already leaning toward him.

"You burn?" I teased.

His eyes darkened.

"No. You don't just burn…"

He stepped closer.

I felt his hand brush against mine.

A spark.

A jolt.

I swallowed hard.

"You consume," he whispered.

And before I could respond…

He pressed his forehead against mine.

Soft. Gentle. Deceptive.

Then suddenly—

His lips found mine.

Not a soft, tentative kiss.

Not a teasing brush.

It was fire.

It was storm.

It was every second we had held back, finally exploding.

I gasped into him, hands clutching his shirt.

His hands slid to my waist, pulling me impossibly close.

I could feel the rhythm of his heartbeat.

Fast.

Urgent.

Matching mine.

We were colliding.

Two forces, impossible to separate.

And I didn't want to.

He broke away just enough to look into my eyes.

Keifer (breathless):

"I've waited too long for this."

Jay:

"So have I."

And then he pulled me against him again.

Hands tangling in my hair.

Fingers brushing my face.

Every touch deliberate.

Every touch a promise.

Every touch… consuming.

Time slowed.

Minutes stretched into eternities.

We didn't speak.

Words weren't enough.

Not anymore.

His lips moved against mine with hunger, desperation, and softness all at once.

A paradox.

Like him.

Like us.

Keifer (whispering against my lips):

"You're mine. Do you understand?"

Jay:

"…Yes."

Keifer:

"No. Do you feel it?"

I nodded, almost trembling.

Because I did.

I felt it in every fiber of my being.

Every thought.

Every breath.

Every heartbeat.

Then he pulled back just slightly, resting his forehead against mine.

Keifer:

"You can't imagine how much I've feared losing you. Even for a second."

I felt it then.

The raw vulnerability in him.

The love he tried to hide behind smirks and confidence.

I reached up, cupped his face.

Jay:

"I'm not going anywhere, Keifer. Never."

And in that moment…

Everything else disappeared.

The world.

The chaos.

The fights.

The past.

Nothing mattered except us.

He smiled.

Small. Quiet. Dangerous.

Keifer:

"You're impossible."

Jay:

"And you love it."

Keifer chuckled, low, rumbling.

Then he kissed me again, slow, sweet, claiming.

Every second stretching longer than the last.

And I realized…

Love wasn't about waiting.

It wasn't about control.

It wasn't even about perfection.

It was about this.

The collision.

The storm.

The fire.

The undeniable pull.

And I didn't want it to stop.

Keifer (softly, near my ear):

"Stay with me. Always. No games. No running."

Jay (whispering back):

"I already am. Always."

And then he wrapped me in his arms.

Pulled me close.

Like he was never letting go.

I rested my head against his chest.

Felt his heartbeat.

Felt the warmth of his body.

Felt the love he hid behind every smirk, every teasing comment, every dramatic gesture.

And I knew…

I had found my storm.
