Dorian's support magic coursed through his entire body like an endless stream of energy.
The gale generated by the black bird continued slamming into him head-on, but it was no longer enough to stop him.
His boots gripped the ground.
His cape whipped violently in the wind.
And even so, he kept moving forward.
"Max!"
He heard Dorian shout from behind.
"Keep it up!"
Max raised a hand without looking back.
He couldn't afford to lose focus.
The bird was furious, its massive wings battering the air.
Its dark eyes locked onto him.
And then it attacked.
The creature launched itself forward.
Its gigantic claws came crashing down directly toward Max's head.
"Here it comes!"
Max reacted instantly.
He raised his shield.
The claws slammed into the metal.
The impact was so powerful that his legs sank several centimeters into the ground.
But he held firm and counterattacked.
"Take this!"
