Edge of the Milky Way.

Space tore open. The Plumbers' expeditionary fleet — led by the captured Kree flagship — leaped from the quantum tunnel.

Counter-Earth lay ahead.

No oceans. No forests. The entire planetary surface was armored in heavy metal plating. Tens of thousands of anti-aircraft batteries rose from the metallic skin, targeting locks converging on the arriving fleet.

Flagship bridge.

Jake watched the red warnings flood the screen.

"All ships — hover. Shields up." He walked toward the airlock. "Don't fire. I'm going down alone."

The airlock popped. Vacuum rushed in.

Jake jumped.

Counter-Earth surface.

"Single enemy unit! FIRE!" The Animen commander roared.

Ten thousand cannons fired simultaneously.

A web of red high-energy lasers — dense enough to shred a Star Destroyer — converged on Jake's descent path.

One thought.

Whoosh!

Feedback.

Arms spread wide. Blue arcs from his fingertip plugs connected with the incoming beams — every one of them. Ten thousand anti-aircraft lasers, pouring into a body designed to absorb the Big Bang.

No explosion. The energy nodes on Feedback's chest flickered wildly — swallowing, compressing, storing. Jake's body blazed white with overloaded power.

"Returning to sender."

Hands together. Thrust downward.

BOOM——!!!

A white lightning pillar — hundred meters in diameter — punched through Counter-Earth's planetary shield and cratered the armored surface. The entire anti-aircraft array melted into slag.

Jake dropped through the gap.

Mid-fall — Ultimate Evolution.

Whoosh!

Ultimate Cannonbolt. Silver heavy armor. Lethal metal spikes. The sphere spun at maximum RPM, atmospheric friction igniting it into a meteorite aimed at the fortress.

RRUMBLE!

The super-alloy dome caved. The armored sphere didn't slow — punching through a dozen floors of high-strength plating, alarms shrieking in its wake.

Deep underground. Genetic dissection room.

The ceiling collapsed. Rubble and metal rained down.

The High Evolutionary activated an energy shield. Stepped back. Waited.

The silver sphere stopped spinning. Green flash. Jake — human, dusting off his coat.

On the restraint beds, Star-Lord's eyes went wide.

"PLUMBERS?! JAKE! HELP! This freak wants to extract my SPINAL CORD!"

"I am Groot!" (Kill him NOW!)

"Quiet, Quill. You owe me one."

Jake looked past the Guardians. Locked onto the High Evolutionary.

"So you're the one who's been sending viruses from the shadows."

The High Evolutionary wasn't angry. His eyes — visible through the mask — fixated on the Omnitrix with naked hunger.

"A perfect creation. It truly shielded against my genetic virus." His voice trembled with fascination. "And you've delivered it to my operating table. You are accelerating universal evolution, Earthling."

He snapped his fingers.

CLICK-CLICK-CLICK.

The alloy walls slid open. Hundreds of massive Animen guards — genetically fused with interstellar beasts, wielding heavy energy axes — flooded the room.

"Take him. Sever the left arm. Don't damage the watch."

ROAR!

The beast-soldiers charged.

Jake stood still. Cracked his neck.

"Want to steal my watch? With these genetic Frankensteins?"

He raised his left hand.

"Skurd — skin on."

The slime creature shrieked and spread across the dial.

Whoosh!

Green light. A thirteen-foot, four-armed, red-skinned giant rose from the floor.

Then — growing from every surface of Four Arms' body — pitch-black bone armor that swallowed light. Sharp Necrosword-material blades extending from elbows and knees. The chest emblem burning dark-gold-and-black.

Four Arms — Necro-Armor Form.

Tetramand muscle wrapped in the material that had killed the God of Symbiotes.

Jake breathed deep. Four bone-armored fists clenched. Black deathly energy spiraled around his knuckles — the force tearing the air itself.

"Come."

Thunder voice. Shadow aura.

"Let's see if your bones are tougher than your master's mouth."

BANG!

Jake stomped — cratered the floor — and became a pitch-black afterimage of death, slamming into the beast army.
