The air in the Scalegorge Waterscape was deathly quiet, save for the rhythmic lapping of the tides against the ancient dragon-stone.
Kenta tried to pull his hand away, but failed. The grip on his wrist was like a shackle of absolute zero ice.
Kenta: "..."
In this situation, besides virtualization or becoming a 2D character, I can't find any solution.
Facing Jingliu's undisguised, fervent, almost terrifying gaze, Kenta opted for the ultimate defensive maneuver: looking down at his phone.

"Hello, Miss Jingliu," Kenta forced a friendly, "customer-service" smile. "Do we know each other?"
Crack. A sharp pain shot through his palm. She had used even more force. Realizing he had stepped on a landmine, he tried to pivot. "Uh... I didn't mean that. I meant, you might know me, but I've... I've lost my memory..."
CRACK. His palm hurt even more.
At this moment, Dan Heng, who was standing nearby, seemed unable to watch the train wreck any longer. "Jingliu, Kenta has lost his memory. You know about the side effects of his Black Flame..."
"Whoosh!"
Before Dan Heng could finish, Jingliu suddenly drew a translucent ice blade—the Shattered Star—and slashed outward.

Dan Heng quickly used his Cloudhymn Art to block the terrifying sword qi. He looked up at Jingliu, only to see her eyes bloodshot, filled with a frantic, cold madness. Her hair moved without a breeze, and the very air turned to frost.
Kenta didn't waste the opening. He used a Black Flame Teleportation to slip out of her grasp.
"No!!!" she roared. Black aura began to emanate from her body—the unmistakable sign of a Mara-struck crisis. "Kenta! You won't abandon me again!"
A sword qi slash erupted, several times stronger than the one she had aimed at Dan Heng.
"Damn it! This woman wants to kill me!" Kenta startled, rolling across the stone floor. When he looked up, a moon-white blade was already inches from his face.
Clang!
A metallic clash sounded as Kenta narrowly blocked the attack with the scabbard of the Shard of the Void.
"It's not over! It's not over! Hahahahaha! Kenta! This time you're not going anywhere!"
Kafka, watching from the sidelines, looked at Dan Heng and Blade with a serious expression. "Gentlemen, [Listen to me]. How about you put aside your past grievances and rescue Kenta first?"
Dan Heng nodded. "To save Kenta, there's no other way. A temporary alliance."
Blade calmed down for once, his eyes fixed on the white-haired woman. "Don't drag us down, Dan Heng."
The three of them rushed forward. Kenta looked at the arrival of allies with tears in his eyes. "Good save, brothers! Good save!"
Blade, being immortal, acted as a meat shield, taking the brunt of Jingliu's frost-laden strikes. Dan Heng provided support with water-based barriers. The three of them together finally managed to suppress her.
"Now's the time!" Kenta lunged forward, his right hand glowing with black fire. He flicked the ice sword out of Jingliu's hand and instinctively grabbed her by the neck to pin her down. He was about to launch a close-range burst of fire to knock her out when, suddenly, he froze.
"???"
Kenta didn't understand why. It was an instinctive reaction from his body—a deep, buried memory that made him unable to strike her.
Jingliu, a master of the blade, saw the hesitation. She realized—he couldn't bring himself to harm her.
"Heh."
She sneered, then violently pulled away Kenta's hand.
"No! Stop her!" Dan Heng roared, but they were too close.
Bang!
Kenta fell backward onto the ground, but unlike being knocked down, Jingliu fell with him, straddling him and pressing him into the stone.
Dan Heng: "..."
Blade: "..."
Yanqing: "???"
Kafka: "Oh my, this is truly..."
Jingliu pressed her lips against Kenta's, mouth to mouth, in a frantic, desperate reunion kiss. She ignored the battlefield, the witnesses, and the impending Stellaron crisis, simply lost in the moment.
"Sigh..." Dan Heng sighed, rubbing his temples. "As expected... she was always like this after drinking back then. Some things never change, even through reincarnation."
