Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: Ancient Magic

"A century ago, a fifth-year transfer student did come to Hogwarts."

"Though the book doesn't record his name, it's confirmed he defeated the goblin Ranrok and sealed away the power of Ancient Magic."

"And from the book's description, this guy chose the righteous path. Didn't go for the dark ending."

Hermione speculated silently.

"Found it."

Hermione said to Little V.

"What?"

Little V asked.

"Clues about Ancient Magic."

Hermione pointed at the book in her hand.

"This book records that a century ago, a fifth-year transfer student sealed the power of Ancient Magic underground in a valley near Hogwarts."

"We need to check it out."

Taking the history book, she tucked Little V back into the diary, tossed it into the Magic Book, and left Hogwarts.

Hermione mounted her broomstick, shot into the sky, and raced toward the valley described in the history.

Soon, she arrived.

Standing at the valley entrance, the history book in her hand trembled slightly, emitting a faint glow.

She closed her eyes, carefully sensing the Ancient Magic aura emanating from the book.

It was an ancient, mysterious magical fluctuation, resonating with something deep below the valley.

"There it is."

Hermione opened her eyes and headed in the direction the book indicated.

After walking for some time, she finally reached a mine entrance.

The opening was blocked by a massive boulder covered in moss and vines—clearly very old.

No one's been here in ages.

She approached the boulder, examining it carefully.

It fit seamlessly against the surrounding rock face with no gaps, but Ancient Magic fluctuations faintly emanated from within.

Hermione drew her wand and aimed at the boulder.

"Confringo!"

BOOM!

A massive explosion. Rubble flew.

The boulder shattered, revealing a dark mine entrance.

Dust billowed, making Hermione cough.

She waved her hand, dispersing the smoke.

A cold, eerie breeze rushed out from the mine.

Hermione took a deep breath and stepped inside.

The mine was pitch black—couldn't see a thing.

She raised her wand. "Lumos."

A soft glow appeared at her wand tip, illuminating her surroundings.

After walking for a while, she vaguely sensed a powerful magical fluctuation ahead.

Finally, Hermione reached the deepest part of the mine.

The space suddenly opened up before her.

In the center floated a swirling mass of black-red light.

The light constantly shifted shape, radiating strange and powerful magical energy.

She approached, studying it carefully.

The light seemed to contain some mysterious energy that made Hermione's heart race.

She reached out slowly, touching the light.

The instant her fingertip made contact, the Mysterious Magic Book in her mind trembled violently.

Then, a powerful suction force surged from the book.

The black-red light twisted and warped as if pulled by some force.

Finally, it transformed into a stream of light and was completely absorbed by the Magic Book.

[Ancient Magic: Element Lv1]

[Use magic to control the five natural elements: earth, water, fire, wind, and lightning. Can transform self into elemental form.]

[Ancient Magic: Silence Lv1]

[Immune to soul attacks. Active use can terminate magical effects and seal magic power.]

[Ancient Magic: Power Lv1]

[Transform magic into invisible force.]

[Ancient Magic: Link Lv1]

[Link multiple targets. Any magical effect on one linked target synchronizes to all linked targets.]

Hermione slowly withdrew her finger, excitement surging through her.

Finally—she'd obtained the Ancient Magic she'd dreamed of.

Through the Magic Book, Hermione clearly understood each Ancient Magic's effects.

Element allowed control over earth, water, fire, wind, and lightning.

More importantly, she could transform herself into elemental form.

In the Harry Potter world, only two wizards could fly with their physical bodies alone.

Voldemort and Snape.

At this thought, Hermione's mind flickered.

Her body instantly transformed into a black-red whirlwind, spiraling through the mine.

Her flight speed was even faster than a broomstick.

After landing, Hermione continued reviewing the rest.

Power was similar to the Force or telekinesis.

It converted magic into invisible force that acted directly on targets, warping objects.

Hermione pointed her wand at nearby rubble.

The invisible force gathered them together, compressing them into a stone sphere that crashed to the ground with a thud.

Hermione nodded with satisfaction.

Though Element and Power were both incredibly strong, Silence was Hermione's true reason for pursuing Ancient Magic.

Immune to soul attacks.

One sentence said it all.

In the Harry Potter world, soul magic was the most sinister and dangerous magic.

And now, with Silence, Hermione was completely immune.

She could ignore the Imperius Curse, the Cruciatus Curse—even tank Avada Kedavra.

"No wonder the final boss couldn't be cheesed with the Killing Curse. So that's why."

Finally, she looked at Link.

She froze for a moment, then couldn't help blurting out:

"Holy shit!"

"Avada Chain Lightning!"

Back in the MCU.

Hermione planned to swing by Stark Tower first to pick up her order. Fury still owed her a pile of materials—the Philosopher's Stone desperately needed recharging.

On the way, an explosion suddenly echoed in the distance.

She immediately changed her mind. Gotta see this.

Hermione transformed into elemental form, becoming a black-red whirlwind racing toward the explosion site.

The scene was chaos.

Above, steel robots rampaged wildly.

Below, flames shot skyward, thick smoke billowed—total disorder.

On the ground, two Iron Man suits faced off against an armored figure wielding electrified whips.

Hermione recognized all three instantly.

Tony, Rhodey, and Ivan Vanko.

"So I caught Whiplash's final showdown with Tony." She muttered.

Looks like Tony had solved his palladium poisoning problem.

For something where barely anyone would die, she really couldn't be bothered to get involved.

But since she was here anyway, might as well lend a hand.

"Expelliarmus."

The spell silently struck Whiplash's armor.

The next second, his armor suddenly disassembled, parts scattering everywhere.

He stood exposed in the open air, completely dumbfounded, with no idea what just happened.

"What the hell?"

Rhodey was stunned too.

He looked at the "Ex-Wife" on the ground, then at the scattered armor parts. Finally, he couldn't help asking: "Also Hammer Tech?"

Ivan was silent for a moment, then slowly nodded.
