Chapter 8 - -Angst-

Later that year- about halfway- Shoto's father came to school and just dragged him back to homeschooling. You knew he didn't deserve that, but honestly? The impression was made, and obviously Endeavor would never let you see him again anyways.

When Kat or Izu asked you, you just told them a random lie or offsubject fact that distracted them if they believed. Kat's mind had been healing from the therapy you'd been giving him, and you were happy for him. He wasn't as screamy as in canon- at least about season 4 hostility. A lot of progress in the same amount of time!

You would have to stop eventually, but you didn't want him to go crazy again and be too violent- it'd just be a nuisance. You shrugged, because if he never knew, it wouldn't hurt him too badly. Also, you could just say some weird stuff and become Aoyama in that one episode, which would be gold comedically.

When your teacher called you out for playing on your phone, you smirked. "If you see what I'm on, you won't be as mad!" You handed it over. He paled, then leaned in closer, then handed it back. "Okay, just be quieter about it."

Of course a primary teacher can't handle the theories of quirk origins that you didn't even know what language it was anymore. Also, it was just the code, so you didn't even know how it was translated into your mind.

Your quirk was awesome. And no one.. knew... haa. You sighed, turning off your phone and looking out the window. You wondered how Touya was doing, so you made a body clone that was spawned in the middle of the planet. After locating Touya, it stayed for a little bit and watched as you sat in your class dying of boredom from division and multiplication.

When the clone dissipated, the memories were yeeting into your mind. You coughed, then sniffed your nose. Ugh, it really was weird to be allergic to quirk overuse. But it was a better drawback than your original one- which you didn't even know.

When the memories were finished integrating, you viewed them like an invisible screen where the teacher's face was. Only you could see it, but Touya's face was so familiar. You wiped your nose with the back of your hand, then watched as he talked with Toga to get her to join the League of Villains. She accepted, grabbing a band that made blood gush out whenever she pressed a button. It didn't have a tracker, and you'd anonymously sent it to Fatgum's house for her.

She followed him out the door, and your clone trailed them as they chatted about a friend. They both thought you were imaginary then, huh? You shut off your screen, looking at your hands.

You blew out a breath, closing your eyes and clenching your hands into fists. Izu looked at you and tapped your shoulder. You instantly covered up your emotions and smiled, looking at him. "What is it?" You whispered. Izu looked at you with worry.

"Are you okay?" You blushed, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear as you nodded your head. "I'm fine, thank you for asking Midoriya-kun." His worried face got even more defined as you used his last name. "Ani-chan, if you ever want to talk..." You thanked him, intending on never using that privilege.

Tonight would be the first night you wouldn't use your therapy-mind tricks on Kat, and you weren't gonna think about anything else or you might have a panic attack.

You looked at Izuku. He would be a good singer. "Hey, Midoriya-kun, do you wanna come over after school? I wanna show you something." He agreed, his face still worried and clearly caring about you.

After a few seconds of his clear affection, you sniffed and turned away. You didn't deserve that, not even a glimpse of pure happiness.

When he entered your room, you closed the door. "Ah- uh-- What are you closing the door for, Ani-chan?" You smiled sweetly as his innocent face blushing pink. "I just don't want BaKat to hear anything." You put a muffler on the bottom of the door, then clotted up openings on the windows with wax. Completely soundproofed.

"I'm gonna tell you something you'll get mad at me for, okay?" Izu raised an eyebrow. "Why would I be mad at you, Ani-chan?" You looked down, biting your lip. You were gonna show him your quirk, but you were seriously wimping out. Ahh, what should you do? You went to your board- currently showing the map side. After flipping it over, his jaw dropped.

A few seconds later, he started to work properly. "Who- is that All for One? Like, the Symbol of Fear? And that white-haired man, who is that- All Might?!" After a few minutes of him silently processing, he turned to you. "You think ALl Might got his quirk from this brother of All for One?" You nodded.

"If it's a transfer quirk, I guess that makes sense, but.." He continued muttering, but you could barely hear it now. You smiled as he looked up, staring at you like he's never seen you before. "You want me to get All Might's quirk? Well, you or me, but.. /name/, I can't do that!"

You shrugged. "Well, it's either this or you live and die a loser, so..." He smacked your shoulder. "/Name/, that's crazy! I can't do this, I can barely even lift 150kg!" You looked deadpanned as he started muttering about how he was quirkless and useless.

After hours of convincing, he accepted that he would be getting the quirk because of your determination. "Hey, Ani-chan?" You looked up from where you were writing dual training regimes to last four years. "Yes?"

"You are absolutely insane. And we can never tell Kacchan this." You nodded. "Well, duh. That's why I soundproofed the room and everything." He smiled brightly, and you turned to fully look at him because although you tried you can never replace a main character's smile with pretty angles and lighting.

He was crying. "Ack!- wait, don't cry, Izu! You didn't do anything wrong!" You went over and hugged him tightly.

Geez, all this working out has done wonders for his body. It was toned, but not ridiculously overdone like bodybuilders. You could totally fall asleep in his arms. And obviously his warm and less baby-like face(Because of the workouts), he looked more mature than the normal person.

The only thing that made him unpopular was his quirklessness and his supreme muttering habit that you'd come to love. You had the urge to look up, but you obviously couldn't because Izu had actually cupped the back of your head and tenderly held you.

Your head was already getting dizzy. Stumbling back, you flushed pink and sat down on the Bakugou guest room bed. Izu sat next to you. "Is anything wrong?" You couldn't meet his eyes.

An overwhelming feeling of sadness filled you. Even though you'd tried your best, you could never reach Izu's standards. You were waiting for puberty, hoping that maybe he'd notice you then, but still. "/Name/?" He made you look at him.

"Are you okay?" You smiled, sadly. "I like someone." He perked up, smiling as he listened harder. "Oh! Have you ever confessed?" You nodded. 14 times, though he never remembered. "Wait- actually, I think that was a dream, because he didn't remember, so make that a no." He smiled. "I'm so happy for you, Anidoret-chan! Can I know who you like?"

You put your hand on his mouth. "Sh as I tell you what he's like." He nodded quietly. "He's smart, confident, cute, strong, and so nice my heart gets full looking at his smile." Izuku's smile faltered once, then he nodded again. "You sound in love. How long have you liked this guy?" You smiled again, somewhat sadly.

"For 10 years." Izuku's eyes widened. "Wow, you only moved here eight years ago!" You smiled. "Yeah, I saw him once when I was still on the streets and it was love at first sight." He smiled again, but it was weird. Like he was angry. You shrugged off the feeling.

After you were done ranting, you asked him. "Are there any girls or guys you like?" He shook his head quickly. "Not really. Not anymore." You tilted your head. "What do you mean?"

He laughed lightly. "Well, I used to have a crush on- um- you, but we were still in first grade, so I've grown out of those feelings, of course!" You burst out laughing, and he joined you. "I'm sorry I never told you before, Ani-chan!"

You flipped over your board and kicked him out of your room to make him sleep. You locked the door, then slowly made your way to your bed. After laying down, you opened up a portal above you that showed a whole other dimension made of candy. You ate a few chocolate bars.

Of course he didn't like you- he never has, his heart is meant for Ochako Uraraka. But it still hurt that you had to keep on interacting with him. Every single time he smiled at you, it felt like you were being stabbed.
