Chapter 152: The Falls of Truth
"Akatsuchi!" Kurotsuchi cried out.
Akatsuchi fell to the ground in pain, blood staining his clothes.
"Damn it!" Naruto roared. "You dare to hurt Akatsuchi!"
He immediately rushed at that Kirigakure and knocked him to the ground with one punch.
However, when Naruto looked back at Akatsuchi, he found that he had already fainted.
"Akatsuchi!" Naruto shouted. "Wake up!"
However, Akatsuchi didn't have any reaction.
"What is going on with these Kirigakure?" Naruto thought to himself. "Why would they launch an attack?"
Just then, Chojuro walked over.
"Naruto, we caught a Kirigakure," he said. "He said someone instigated this attack."
"Who?" Naruto asked hurriedly.
"He said... it's a survivor of the 'Yusuga Peak Tragedy Incident'."
Hearing the words 'Yusuga Peak Tragedy Incident', Naruto's face suddenly turned grim.
"Is it him?" he muttered to himself. "That survivor who killed the Two-Tails Jinchuriki..."
A picture flashed in his mind, where a man stood on the edge of a cliff, and behind him was the about-to-fall Two-Tails Jinchuriki.
"You... actually dare to appear before me again." Naruto said the exact same words as back then. "What on earth do you want to do?"
The man chuckled: "I just want to survive."
He continued: "I didn't intend to do anything big; I just hope to have a place to stay."
Naruto looked at him in disbelief: "You killed the Two-Tails Jinchuriki and caused the deaths of so many people, just to survive?"
The man didn't speak, just silently looked at Naruto.
"You have lost your utility value now, so are you planning to stay in Kirigakure Village?" Naruto said.
The man smiled: "I have no choice because I am just a survivor."
His smile revealed a hint of bitterness and helplessness.
Naruto also fell silent, looking at the man, his heart full of doubt and confusion.
"Are you... really the only survivor?" he hesitated.
The man didn't answer; he just stood there quietly.
After a while, Naruto said: "I'll go back with you, but you must answer some questions for me."
The man agreed to Naruto's proposal.
They went back to Kirigakure Village together.
In the Village, Naruto began to ask the man about the truth of the 'Yusuga Peak Tragedy Incident'.
However, the man just smiled faintly: "Everything was my own choice; I have no regrets."
His answer made Naruto even more confused.
"Do you really not regret it?" Naruto pressed.
The man still just smiled and didn't answer.
Naruto knew that asking further wouldn't yield results, so he gave up.
He decided to find the answer himself... After a long voyage, Naruto and his party finally arrived at their destination.
This was a small island located deep in the ocean, surrounded by thick fog, looking full of mystery.
"Finally here!" Naruto said excitedly. "I wonder if there will be the octopus from the Great Toad Sage's prophecy here?"
His words were full of expectation and curiosity.
However, just then, a Giant Squid suddenly rushed out of the sea and grabbed Naruto in its hand.
"What!" Naruto exclaimed.
He tried to break free from the Giant Squid's restraint but was unsuccessful.
"Seems like I have to use some strength!" Naruto thought to himself.
He concentrated his power, preparing to launch an attack.
However, just then, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Killer B!" Naruto exclaimed.
That's right, the person who came was the Jinchuriki of the Eight-Tails—Killer B.
He rescued Naruto from the Giant Squid's hand.
"Are you okay?" Killer B asked.
"I'm fine." Naruto shook his head. "Thank you, Killer B."
"You're welcome." Killer B said. "We are comrades; helping each other is only natural."
Naruto looked at Killer B, his heart full of gratitude.
He knew that without Killer B's help, he might have been taken away by the Giant Squid.
"Is this the destination?" Killer B asked.
"Yes." Naruto nodded. "We came here to find the octopus from the Great Toad Sage's prophecy."
"Octopus?" Killer B frowned. "Why would there be an octopus here?"
"I don't know either." Naruto shook his head. "But the Great Toad Sage's prophecy can't be wrong; we will definitely find the answer here."
"Alright." Killer B said. "Since you've decided, I'll accompany you to look for it."
Hearing Killer B's words, Naruto felt a surge of excitement. He knew that with Killer B's help, he would definitely be able to find the answer.
The two of them walked together toward the depths of the island.
Along the way, they encountered all sorts of difficulties and dangers. However, neither Naruto nor Killer B gave up; they encouraged and supported each other, overcoming one obstacle after another together.
After a long search, they finally arrived at the center of the small island.
There was a massive lake here, its water so clear that one could see to the bottom, where something mysterious seemed to be hidden.
"Look!" Naruto said, pointing at the bottom of the lake. "There seems to be something there!"
Killer B looked in the direction Naruto was pointing and indeed saw a massive figure wriggling at the bottom of the lake.
"That's... an octopus!" Killer B exclaimed.
Naruto nodded excitedly. "That's right! That is the octopus from the Great Toad Sage's prophecy!"
The two immediately jumped into the lake and swam toward the octopus.
When they got close to the octopus, they discovered it was actually fast asleep.
"What do we do?" Killer B asked.
"We have to find a way to wake it up," Naruto said.
So, they began trying various methods to wake the octopus. However, no matter how hard they tried, the octopus did not wake up.
Naruto sat by the lakeshore, looking somewhat dejected. Killer B walked over to him and said, "Don't be too discouraged; maybe we just haven't found the right method yet."
Naruto nodded. Looking at Killer B, he suddenly remembered something. "Killer B, you can completely control the Eight-Tails. Can you guide me in training to control the power of the Nine-Tails?"
Killer B shook his head upon hearing this. "I'm sorry, but my training method might not be suitable for you."
Seeing Naruto's disappointment, Killer B continued, "However, I can have Motoi take you to a place that might be of help to you."
Naruto's eyes lit up. The Motoi Killer B mentioned was his disciple, so Naruto asked Motoi to take him there.
Under Motoi's guidance, they arrived at a place called the 'Falls of Truth'.
The environment here was extremely mysterious, with a strange power permeating the air.
"What is this place?" Naruto asked curiously.
