"Mom, what are you doing?"
A small boy, no older than five, hugged his mother from behind whilst she sat on the floor neatly arranging a small stack of books on a coffee table.
"Hmm~? These are your books and supplies for elementary school of course"
"woah~"
On that same coffee table are pencils, crayons, eraser, and other stationery that all elementary schoolers need.
.. Or maybe what they think they need is more fitting.
"Uh-huh and we need to write your name on all of them now"
"Really?"
The curious boy keep picking up and inspecting each items randomly, noticing that every one of them has a small piece of paper sticking to them.
"Well, go get started"
"I'm doing it?!"
The boy now hesitates.
"..Are you sure?"
"Yup"
She smiles as her hand began playing with the boy's face, squishing and pinching his cheeks around like a stress toy.
"Mweee—"
Even with the weird noises he let out, he loves this, evident through the closed eye smile on his face.
"My baby boy is so big already, you can do more than this right?"
"Yeah"
Now with a glint in his purple eyes, the boy looks confidently at the book in front of him.
"Alright"
"Here you go"
She handed him a black marker pen with a bolded words written on it reading 'Magic Marker Pen.'
"Hm? What's this?"
"A magic marker.
It can't be erased, so if you made a mistake you can't fix it"
"Eh?!"
No pressure at all, thanks mom.
".. it's scary .."
"Ahaha-ha~"
Her little laugh filled the room, giving the atmosphere around the boy a little boost that he needs.
"I know you can do it"
And without realising, a brand new smile had already adorned itself on the boy's face.
"Okay!"
Armed with his newfound determination and fuelled by will to complete the magical quest of making mom proud.
The boy began the herculean task of writing his own name, on the cover of his new notebook.
Each stroke of the magic pen felt heavy in his hand, knowing that no possible way exists for him to fix any mistakes that he might makes.
Lord give him strength, he will need it.
And so, after the interminable time-
(It took around 6 seconds)
After the interminable time of six seconds passed, the hard earned fruit of his back breaking labour has materialised from the tip of his pen.
Name:
WATARU SUGURU
"That's so good! Your handwriting is beautiful Suguru!"
Suguru's smile lights up like a candle from the praise.
"I wrote my name! Are you proud?"
The mother then put her hand on her chin, pretending to think before she would answer, enough to make Suguru's face turn worried for a moment.
"Joking~ of course I'm proud"
Her hand began rubbing his hair tenderly, initiating one of her most devastating attack on Suguru's heart.
A head pat.
"Good job, Suguru"
Mission: make mom proud.
Status: accomplished.
"Hmm~!"
But contrary to his belief, fate was not done testing his steel.
"Now can you do all these too?"
"Huh?"
A stack of book so high the lord has come down and confused the subjects it contains so that they may not understand each other-
(A total of 7 books)
Are casually dropped in front of him by his own mother.
Just as a quote once said, "Old age and treachery will always beats youth and exurberance."
"Haah~ guess I'll have to help after all"
But even the darkest of days are only temporary.
And so another day passed in the Wataru household.
༺𓆩༒︎𓆪༻
Not too dramatic
This idea keep appearing in my head so I'll let it out here, this is kinda cross over, but the other serie only exists as reference and backstory since this is a reincarnation fic.
And thanks to Cypresss for giving me inspiration to pick up writing once again.
But I don't use grammar corrector anymore cause I'm kinda lazy rn so it is what it is.
