Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: Beyonder Gathering

After speaking, Altair walked up to the door of this ordinary-looking residential house and knocked three times on the door panel.

After Altair knocked, it didn't take long for an attendant wearing a hood and a "Moretta mask" to open the door of the residence from the inside.

Seeing the attire of Altair and the others, the masked attendant turned slightly to the side and gestured for everyone to enter.

Altair followed the attendant's gesture and walked into the residence quite naturally. Audrey, trailing behind the two, forgot her "ladylike" etiquette in her momentary excitement and couldn't help but urge Grelint, whispering, "Hurry, hurry."

Just after saying this, Audrey remembered her status and, feeling embarrassed by her loss of composure, softly explained to Grelint, "I didn't mean to be impatient… I mean, I didn't mean to rush you, I… I was just a bit anxious. I am terribly sorry, Grelint."

"It's fine," Grelint replied to Audrey with a smile.

He added, "Audrey, I fully understand how you feel right now."

"Because we are the same."

After explaining, Grelint walked through the door first, with Audrey following closely behind.

When the two entered, the masked attendant standing to the side closed the door behind them.

The masked attendant picked up two slips of paper from the entryway cabinet and handed them to the two.

After seeing what the attendant handed them, Grelint and Audrey looked confused. Seeing this, Altair explained to them, "This slip of paper records the notices for this gathering, as well as how to attend the next one."

After listening to Altair's explanation, the two nodded slightly, indicating they understood.

But perhaps due to their upbringing in aristocratic etiquette, even though Grelint and Audrey were anxious to learn about the Beyonder gathering, they did not make a move to open the letters in public.

The attendant standing nearby, hearing that Altair had already explained it to them, dismissed the idea of giving further instructions.

He stepped back into the corridor and gestured for everyone to follow.

After walking only a few steps, the three were led by the attendant to an extremely wide and brightly lit hall.

In terms of layout, this wide hall was like a normal parlor, just with a few more sofas, chairs, and a rather abrupt blackboard.

More than a dozen people dressed in various styles were scattered about, sitting in different places, waiting for the gathering to begin.

After scanning the room, Altair found a suitable spot with three seats in the southeast corner of the hall.

Not long after the three sat down, Grelint and Audrey could no longer suppress their curiosity; they opened the slips of paper given by the attendant and began to read.

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to my 'humble abode' for this Beyonder gathering."

"Please remember that for this Beyonder gathering, no fees will be charged before or after private transactions, except for notarization."

"At the same time, out of consideration for everyone's safety, we will not provide tea, drinks, snacks, or other items. Of course, if you have brought your own, please do not force others to share. Violators will be punished."

"If any of you have long-term trading needs for certain materials or items, you can call an attendant to request a slip of paper to register it on the blackboard at the front, or you may register it on the blackboard yourselves."

"If you wish to attend the next Beyonder gathering, please go to the Ohm Messiah Machinery Shop on Vlad Street in the East Borough or the Circe Herb Shop on Bryce Street by the river between 10:00 AM next Tuesday and 3:00 PM next Wednesday to obtain the location for the next gathering."

"There is no cost to obtain the location of the gathering. Of course, if you take a fancy to any items in the shop, you may purchase them yourself ———"

After reading the note, Grelint and Audrey asked Altair curiously, "Why are both access points in the East Borough? Why isn't there one in the Empress Borough?~~ At the very least, there should be one in the West Borough."

"Because of poverty," Altair replied without hesitation, explaining, "Wild Beyonders are all very poor."

After Altair finished this sentence, the time reached 8:30 PM.

Simon, wearing a black round-faced mask, appeared in the center of the hall as promised and said, "I didn't expect so many newcomers to join this gathering."

"Then I shall introduce myself first."

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. You may call me 'Beast' or 'Mr. Beast'; I don't mind either ———"

"I have been invited by the host of this Beyonder gathering to attend as a Notary."

As he spoke, Simon raised his right hand and activated the power of the 'Notary Ring' on his finger.

After turning around, he added, "If any of you complete a transaction during this gathering but do not trust the other party or wish to verify it, you may come to me for notarization ———"

"Since everyone has no objections, I declare this Beyonder gathering officially started."

As soon as Simon's final words fell, a middle-aged man with an "unnatural voice" stated his request: "I need a 'Heart of a Four-Eyed Green Turtle' and 20 grams of its shell powder."

Upon hearing this material, Altair was slightly stunned, thinking to herself, "Where did this Mystery Pryer come from? My own guard team doesn't have such Beyonders."

"Could he have come in through Vivian's channels?"

"That shouldn't be right~~ The Demoness Sect and the Theosophy Order shouldn't have the Mystery Pryer Potion Formula."

After scanning the room and seeing that no one responded, the middle-aged man stood up and added, "I can purchase this material at a premium, or~~ or if anyone has information about this material, I am also willing to pay for the news ———"

After speaking, seeing that everyone still did not respond, the middle-aged man sat down, feeling dejected.

Grelint, who was sitting not far away, saw the man's desperate reaction and whispered to Altair and Audrey, "I remember there is some of this material in my family's warehouse. Hmm~~ I mean: I can trade it to him in exchange for some knowledge we need."

After glancing at Audrey, Altair understood her thoughts and then nodded to Grelint.

Raising her hand to signal the attendant, she spoke, "My friend here wishes to conduct a transaction with that gentleman just now. Could you please arrange a separate room for us?"

After hearing the request, the attendant nodded to Grelint and said, "Please wait a moment."

After the attendant left, Altair turned her gaze back to Grelint and said, "You will have to go and conduct the transaction by yourself in a moment. Audrey and I will stay outside to look at other trade requests and see if we can gain anything else~~ We won't go in with you."
