Chapter 221 - Chapter 221: The Appearance of the Ultra-Ancient Dragonite, A Fierce One-Against-Two Assault

(The two forces that destroyed the world—black darkness stained the sky, golden eyes disrupted the flow of energy, a conflict that split the world in two. Humanity was powerless, and a gate to another world opened in the sky!)

"An interdimensional gate! It was the battle between those two Ultra-Ancient Pokémon that destroyed the entire civilization of Pokémopolis!" Eve shouted in disbelief.

"Destroyed?!" Ash exclaimed.

"Are they trying to destroy our world too?!" Misty cried in fear.

"It's my fault. I was just curious, I only wanted to understand…" Eve blamed himself, believing that his excessive investigation had accidentally awakened the long-slumbering Ultra-Ancient Pokémon, causing them to attempt to destroy the world once again.

"Eve, you were only trying to pursue your dream." Brock comforted.

"Yeah, it's not your fault at all." Misty agreed.

"Exactly! If only the ancient people had warned us in a way that's easier to understand!" Ash suddenly complained.

Misty and Brock sighed helplessly. They didn't expect that even at such a critical moment, Ash would still have the leisure to complain about ancient people.

Just as the four sank into overwhelming despair, the fully formed dimensional rift in the sky was suddenly dispersed by a violent gust of wind. Immediately after, the shadow of a gray giant dragon appeared.

Charizard and Dratini both turned their heads toward the sky, looking at the enormous dragon figure. They hadn't expected it to appear here as well.

"As expected, there's no way it would miss such a grand scene!" Red joked.

"It's been a long time, Red. I didn't expect this land to truly harbor Ultra-Ancient Pokémon. I'm very grateful for what you told me back then."

"It seems both you and your companions have grown much stronger. That pleases me greatly. I look forward to the day when you can truly defeat me!"

The gray dragon communicated with Red through telepathy, its gaze filled with satisfaction as it looked at Charizard and Dratini. After all, both had absorbed some of its power. However, the Ultra-Ancient Dragonite focused more on Dratini, as it was a descendant who had inherited its bloodline.

The gray dragon was none other than the Ultra-Ancient Dragonite that had appeared at the lighthouse before. Upon sensing the aura of its kind, it had immediately flapped its massive wings and rushed over with great anticipation.

However, after witnessing how their battle nearly destroyed the world, its expression darkened instantly.

It had thought it would encounter benevolent Ultra-Ancient Pokémon that protected humanity. Instead, it found the very same evil beings that had once destroyed human civilization. This filled the Ultra-Ancient Dragonite with complicated emotions. Though they were its kind, they were destined to stand as enemies.

"Don't worry, humans. I will seal these two unrepentant fools back beneath the earth!"

The Ultra-Ancient Dragonite declared loudly, reassuring Ash and the others before launching its attack.

A terrifying ancient dragon's pressure erupted from its body, instantly suppressing both the Ultra-Ancient Gengar and the Ultra-Ancient Alakazam, who were still battling. Both revealed shocked expressions, not expecting such an unexpected force to appear.

The Ultra-Ancient Gengar and Ultra-Ancient Alakazam pushed each other away and exchanged complex glances. After a brief moment of eye contact, they reached a temporary agreement—to first defeat this outsider, the Ultra-Ancient Dragonite, before settling their own grudges.

With their short-lived alliance formed, the Ultra-Ancient Gengar struck first, crossing its hands and unleashing Confuse Ray, attempting to seize control of Dragonite's mind.

But how could the Ultra-Ancient Dragonite let it succeed so easily? Electricity surged through the antennae on its head as it instantly unleashed Thunderbolt to clash against Confuse Ray. In mere moments, the high-voltage current overwhelmed the strange light and struck the Ultra-Ancient Gengar directly.

Unfortunately, the people swallowed inside the Ultra-Ancient Gengar suffered the consequences. They had been calmly watching the battle, only to suddenly 'enjoy' a 'friendly electric treatment' from the Ultra-Ancient Dragonite.

The Ultra-Ancient Dragonite paused briefly, clearly noticing that humans were trapped inside Gengar. It intended to reach out and rescue them, but was suddenly attacked from the side by the Ultra-Ancient Alakazam.

Wielding its spoons, the Ultra-Ancient Alakazam unleashed two psychic blasts that struck Dragonite's body. Immediately afterward, coral-like attachments formed on Dragonite's body, severely hindering its movements while subtly draining its stamina.

Furious, the Ultra-Ancient Dragonite shattered the attachments and countered with a powerful Fire Punch, striking Alakazam and igniting its chest in blazing flames, nearly burning it severely.

Sensing danger, the Ultra-Ancient Alakazam immediately used Teleport to distance itself, then followed up with another psychic attack, intending to continue wearing Dragonite down.

Meanwhile, the Ultra-Ancient Gengar in the rear gathered a massive Shadow Ball, ready to strike Dragonite from behind at any moment.

The Ultra-Ancient Dragonite glanced at Red. Sensing Red's intention to help, it shook its head in refusal. With its current strength, it had no intention of losing to these two recently awakened Ultra-Ancient Pokémon. Its earlier disadvantage had merely been due to momentary carelessness.

"What a stubborn guy~" Red chuckled, signaling his companions not to interfere. They only needed to watch and learn.

The Pokémon sighed in disappointment. It turned out they had rushed here just to warm up a bit and then watch these three colossal beings fight.

The Thousand-Year Gengar fixed its gaze tightly on the Ultra-Ancient Gengar, urging Dragonite internally to defeat it quickly. Only then could it use its thousand years of experience to absorb and master the devouring power from the Ultra-Ancient Gengar.

As for why it didn't intervene, firstly, it wasn't confident in defeating the Ultra-Ancient Gengar alone. Secondly, it didn't dare disobey Red's orders. Since Red hadn't commanded them to fight, it wouldn't act on its own.

Kadabra also stared eagerly at the Ultra-Ancient Alakazam, imagining itself mastering the powerful psychic techniques of its special form.

As the massive Shadow Ball came hurtling in, the Ultra-Ancient Dragonite casually destroyed it with a Dragon Claw, then sidestepped the incoming psychic attack and opened its mouth to unleash blazing flames.

The scorching pillar of fire struck the Ultra-Ancient Alakazam once more, inflicting a burn status.

The Ultra-Ancient Alakazam looked at Dragonite with lingering fear and prepared to use Teleport to escape, intending to recover its strength elsewhere before returning for revenge.
