The boy inside the red light looked at Arman quietly.
"You promised to protect me," he said.
Arman felt pain inside his chest.
Memories were coming back slowly.
Rain.
Village people shouting.
A dark ritual.
And a stone placed on his chest.
"I tried to protect you," Arman said softly.
The girl with empty eyes stood silently behind him.
The woman's angry voice whispered from the darkness,
"You failed."
The boy shook his head.
"No. He did not fail."
The basement wall cracked again.
Black blood started flowing slowly.
The boy continued,
"The villagers wanted power. They sealed us inside this house."
Arman asked,
"What am I now?"
The boy smiled.
"You are the key."
