Chapter: "100% or Confess"
Jay's POV
Exam week.
The most dangerous week in every student's life.
Section E was unusually quiet.
Notes everywhere.
Highlighters dying.
Brains overheating.
Cin suddenly slammed his book shut dramatically.
"I'm getting 100% in math."
Felix didn't even look up. "Okay?"
Cin stood up like he was about to announce war.
"And if I get 100%…"
He pointed at me.
"Jay has to kiss the man she loves the most."
The classroom went silent.
Slowly… very slowly… every head turned toward me.
I blinked.
"…Excuse me?"
Cin smirked. "Scared?"
Yuri gasped loudly. "WAIT WAIT WAIT— THIS IS A PUBLIC CONFESSION TRAP."
Josh dropped his pen.
Mayo whispered, "Is he trying to die?"
I leaned back in my chair.
"You think you can get 100%?"
Cin straightened confidently.
"I am the topper."
True.
Unfortunately.
I crossed my arms.
"And if you don't?"
He froze.
"…What?"
"If you don't get 100%, you shave your eyebrows."
The entire class exploded.
"NOOOO."
"NOT THE EYEBROWS."
"HE LOOKS CONFUSED ENOUGH ALREADY."
Cin swallowed.
"…Fine."
Gasps.
Blaster stood up. "I would like to officially say this is not Section E's responsibility."
Felix whispered, "This is historical."
I glanced at Keif.
He was silent.
Too silent.
Oh.
He was thinking.
Keifer's POV
This is illegal.
Why is she even entertaining this bet?
Kiss the man she loves most?
My brain is replaying that sentence like background music.
Cin doesn't even realize what he just did.
Jay looked way too calm.
That means she's planning something.
I leaned closer.
"You confident?"
She smirked.
"In what?"
"In him getting 100%."
She shrugged. "Maybe."
Why is she smiling like that?
Is she… waiting for something?
No.
Focus.
Exam first.
Mental breakdown later.
Exam Day
Everyone was serious.
Cin looked possessed by math spirit.
Jay was calm.
Too calm.
Keif (me) trying not to look at her.
Three hours later—
Papers submitted.
Nervous energy everywhere.
Cin stretched proudly. "It's done."
Jay yawned. "Cute."
Results Day
The teacher walked in with answer sheets.
The tension was thick.
"Highest score…" sir announced.
Cin closed his eyes like he was in prayer.
"…100%."
The class exploded.
"WHAT."
"NO WAY."
"HE DID IT."
Cin jumped from his seat.
"I TOLD YOU."
He turned slowly toward Jay.
"With all due respect… pucker up."
The entire class lost control.
Yuri was standing on a bench.
David already recording.
Blaster chanting "KISS KISS KISS."
I looked at Jay.
Her face?
Calm.
Too calm.
She stood up slowly.
Walked to the front.
Cin looked proud.
"Deal is deal," he said dramatically.
She nodded.
"Yes."
The whole room leaned forward.
"Jay," Felix whispered, "this is your villain moment."
She ignored them.
Then she said clearly,
"I'll kiss the man I love most."
Silence.
Everyone looked around.
Like scanning for candidates.
Cin crossed his arms confidently. "Go ahead."
Jay turned.
And walked straight toward me.
My brain stopped functioning.
She stopped right in front of me.
Our entire class screaming like animals.
Cin's smile slowly disappeared.
"Wait—"
She grabbed my collar gently.
My heart was in my throat.
"You got 100%," she said casually to Cin over her shoulder. "You never specified who I love most."
The class froze.
Then exploded.
"OH MY GOD."
"LEGAL LOOPHOLE."
"SHE OUTSMARTED HIM."
Cin looked betrayed.
"That's not—"
"You said kiss the man I love most," she repeated sweetly. "I'm following the rules."
My pulse was insane.
She looked at me.
Eyes softer now.
"You okay?" she whispered.
"No," I whispered back.
She smiled slightly.
Then—
She leaned in.
And kissed my cheek.
The entire class lost their sanity.
Yuri fell off the bench.
David screamed.
Blaster hit the desk dramatically.
Cin looked like he just lost a war.
"Eyebrows," Felix reminded him gently.
Cin gasped. "WAIT—"
Jay stepped back and sat down like nothing happened.
I touched my cheek.
Still warm.
Still tingling.
She opened her notebook calmly.
"Next exam," she said casually, "who wants to challenge me?"
The entire class shouted, "NO."
I leaned toward her slowly.
"You planned that."
She shrugged.
"Maybe."
"You were confident he'd get 100%."
She looked at me.
Softly.
"I was confident about who I love most."
And just like that—
Exam week became legendary.
Meanwhile…
Cin was googling eyebrow regrowth tips.
